As I've said, American servicemen who saw action have my utmost respect - regardless of their cause.

I also respect WW2 Japanese, German, and Russian servicemen, even Vietnamese Commies and Mujhadeen who saw action. I couldn't even drink at the Returned Servicemens Club that sits on spot where hundred of Japanese wounded were purposely buried alive under Hospital Hill at Lae in PNG.

I actually cried at the spot where Pickett's brave barefoot boys made their charge at Cemetery Ridge. Same at Big and Little Round Top were both Union and Rebs died in their droves. The Night the Drove Ol' Dixie Down can stiil give me goose bumps at 65 yeqrs of age.

So if the heroes cap fits, wear it. If not, then I can only wonder at the reason why you advertise that you are an ex-Marine.
