So far we have had one congressman and the Chairman of the RNC grovel before the mighty Rushbo for daring to talk bad about him. Worship at the altar of Rush or pay the consequences.

Talk about the denial of free speech. And this is for an overweight druggie who got out of service in Vietnam because he had an ingrown hair on his fat ass.

    Great role model folks.

Please keep him. You will lose the entire indpendent vote.:eusa_pray:

I'm having deja vu. Didn't you post this on another thread? Guess you didn't get enough responses to it there either.

Denial of free speech isn't occurring in this case. The government is not hauling people away for disrespecting Rush. The sudden embrace of Rush by mainstream politicians is odd, though. Rush alienates far more people than he brings to their cause. People who listen to Rush already were hardcore conservatives who care about politics.

I honestly think this has less to do with people groveling before Rush and more to do with not fracturing an already weak party. The Republican party is trying to rebuild and restructure right now. Rush is NOT a key piece to that puzzle BUT his listeners might be. You don't see anyone holding Rush as the standard Republicans should judge themselves by, they just are trying to refrain from driving away those who listen to what Rush has to say.

when will michael steele learn that there is only one true leader of the Republican party...rush limbaugh.

what kind of party goes on bended knee, to grovel and apologize to an ovrweight, pill popping radio entertainer?

Are these republicans mice? Or men? Can you imagine if Democrats went on bended knee to grovel and apologize to Michael Moore?

What kind of weak, emasculated men comprise the GOP base?

How on earth does this damage free speech? Nobody asked that the idiots be shut up. Nobody asked for an apology, they did it on their own when they realized they'd been idiots.

The only way to damage free speech is to prevent it in the first place. People who apologize when they abuse the right aren't damaging it at all.

And the independents who are concerned about Rush aren't independent after all.

Oh come on.. that is like saying everyone who listens to Howard Stern thinks he is god and believes everything he says. People listen because they agree true, but they also listen for shock factor, as something to laugh at, to use as a basis that what they believe is true. Keep in mind a lot of liberals know what go on in the day to day runnings of Rush's show. How do you think they get the information they base their complaints about him on?
