Does the failure of Solyndra mean Obama has failed on Energy policy? Not even close.

Here is an assessment on the outcome of Obama's campaign promises. I think this further proves that Obama has been a very effective president, despite a sluggish economy.

PolitiFact | The Obameter: Campaign Promises that are about Energy

Here is a good one:

PolitiFact | The Obameter: Create 5 million "green" jobs

It will take about a decade for the promise above to be fully fulfilled (depending on economic conditions), but already estimates say close to a million private, green jobs will have been created by the end of 2012.

All in all, was Solyndra a failure? Yes, but that does not mean Obama hasn't made great strides with Energy issues.

WTF?????

Thats like saying a football coach has had 3 losing seasons in a row....but "dont worry in a decade it'll be great!".

Was Solyndra a failure? Yes. But it is symptomatic of Obama's crony capitalism, which is the real failure.
Private sector oil and gas have created 10 times the number of jobs, with no taxpayer funding, that Obama's Greeny-Weeny crap has.
Obama is the worst president since Huge Chavez.

Okay, so you're saying that oil companies have created 10 million jobs? Even if that were true, there is no way in hell they could have created that many jobs in 3 years. Do you have a link to prove that?

This pales in comparison to Obama's plan. Where is this 10 million job figure you were talking about? According to this, 200,000 jobs have been created since 2003. That is an 8 year stretch. Obama's plan will have created 800,000 jobs in 4 years.

It's simple math, really.

If you wanted everyone to know you are a shameless whore, why didn't you just come right out and say so directly?

So far I haven't encountered any other private industry that will create that many jobs in less than 10 years.

Only the most shameless, 'hey, wipe that off your chin' whore could possibly try to portray this president's energy policy as anything other than a craven, politically-driven disaster.

And yet, you can't even prove it's been a disaster.

He proves it himself (you probably haven't noticed, given that your head has been bobbing around his waist for so long).

His executive branch has been active in blocking, delaying, or obstructing new coal, nuclear, and offshore oil drilling (after his disasterous non-handling of the Gulf spill). A pipeline project from Canada to the Gulf with a great many potential benefits has been put off (until after...)due to the most crass, obvious, transparent political considerations. OUR tax dollars are flushed down the crapper in the hundreds of millions out of obstinant, irresponsible, vain, and corrupt political and personal concerns. You need to close your legs, straighten your skirt, and stop being such a shameless whore out of ridiculous, indefensible partisanship.

How exactly was Obama's handling of the Gulf spill disasterous? You didn't explain it.

The current route plan for the pipeline raises several environmental concerns. Obama put off the decision to implement it until a better route is proposed.

So far all I've gotten from you is generic republican rhetoric and the insistence that I am a "shameless whore". Is that really all you have to say?

Obama has laid out $90 billion in punitive tax measures directed at the oil and gas industries.
I hardly call this "energy policy".

40% of US corn crops is diverted to ethanol production. Still, 20% of ethanol produced is exported.
Grain prices are at near record levels, effecting a host of industries and products.

"Require drilling on current oil and gas leases" - further proof he knows jack shit about the industry.

No- the guy is a major failure.

You're assuming facts not in evidence. A prediction is just that and not fact as you are assuming.

BTW did you factor in what all the tax subsidies will cost the taxpayers?

You've got a short memory, whore.

TIMELINE: Obama golfs while Gulf burns | The Daily Caller

Government Motors has only sold 5329 Chevy Volts. That is a disaster many order of magnitude far greater than Solyndra.

There are 256,000,000 registered passenger vehicles in the United States running fine on oil & bio-fuel. Yet we just had to waste $50+ BILLION to save GM so they could sell a paltry 5329 Chevy Volts since we bailed them out 3+ years ago. We spent over $9 million per electric car!!!!!

His own State Department has already exhaustively reviewed that issue in a previous environmental impact statment that took 3 years to complete and contained 100 pages responding to just the type of concerns being cynically paraded around as excuses for the president's political cowardice.

And while our 'Leader from Behind' plays golf and dithers we become ever more dependent on foreign energy, and China may directly benefit - at our expense - from obama's political games with our nation's energy policy. And the world won't be one speck cleaner or safer for the trouble.
