There is definitely something wrong. The marine who was killed in the embassy attack told his mother (and she retold the story today when she told Romney to stop using her son for his political advantage) he met Romney at a gathering a year or so ago and that Romney came up to him multiple times and introduced himself as if he'd not done so on several previous occasions within an hour time period.

That is very bizarre and she said her son thought it was "crazy".

The right will vote for Romney no matter what he now says so Romney can now dump his conservatism for now, and be all things to all people. wink wink If he seems to be all over the place in promises, beliefs, values the whole political schmear he really doesn't care at this point. He doesn't need all the votes of the center only some, and of that center Republicans count on some believing Romney is not as bad as they thought, and he sounds pretty moderate and bingo that's the win. Comes down to Romney now convincing a handful of voters that he's almost liberal.
