Does Obama represent the will of the people

Bull its not your party.

you support all the crap they do and fight for and defend the lies they spew.

You are a right wing voter.

To pretend you ever vote for anyone whos not right wing is contrary to everything you post.

Yup. I do lean right. Always have. I am a fiscal conservative but liberal on some issues as well.

I do check out candidates and I vote for those who campaign on issues I can support. If the candidate supports what I support then he or she will get my vote and I could care less if he or she is a Dem or a Rep. There are moderate Dems out there ya know.

Whens the last time you voted for a Rep there TDM??

No he doesn't represent the will of the "Teabaggers", "Pseudo-conservatives", or "Faux News".

Stupid question as Nosmo-King pointed out.

Look Boo
Thats the will of the people
The republic for witch it stands is a governed that is represented for the people by the people
The question is not only legitimate, it is the very question that the conjures up the word socialism

GM and Chrysler are 2 examples beyond debate
the health-care reform bill had the peoples representatives vote for it, thats why close to 70 of them got thrown out of office

The Stimulus?
CNN Poll: 3 of 4 Americans say much of stimulus money wasted - CNN
that money could have been sent back when that poll was taken, the money not spent

Well, let's start with the FACT that the GM Bailout started under George W Bush.

Now let's talk about that HC poll. From the CNN Poll you cited:

Who do you trust more to handle major changes in the country’s health care system – Barack Obama or the Republicans in Congress?

2010
Obama 51%
Republicans in Congress 39%
Both equally/neither (vol.) 10%
No opinion 1%

When President Obama took office, Health Care was one of the top contenders on America's "fix it" list, along with the economy and the environment so it is a bit disingenuous for you to be claiming that the President isn't doing what the people wanted. It certainly isn't HIS fault that we didn't get what most Americans DID want, a public option.

It looks like his style was not popular

GWB loaned GM the money
Did not give it to them
There is a big difference
beside, does 2 wrongs make a right?
I keep telling you Liberals Obama is nothing But W on super STEROIDS

[The automakers have] three months to put in place plans to structure viable companies – which we believe they can do,” President Bush said. He stressed his reluctancy to have to provide the loans, but said that they were necessary given the current financial turmoil.

President Bush issued the ultimatum that the federal loans must be repaid by March 31 if the automakers do not come up with a viable plan for going forward, “or the only option
will be bankruptcy.”
Bush: GM, Chrysler to receive $17.4b federal loans
Awwwwwwwwwwwwww.....whatta shame things didn't work-out for the 1%er Vultures...

"On 31 May 2009 news broke that the U.S. would initially likely become the largest shareholder of the reorganized GM following a bankruptcy filing and re-emergence from bankruptcy. The U.S. government would invest up to $50 billion and own 60% of the new GM and the Canadian government would own 12.5%.

Some observers also claimed that creditors were encouraged to push GM into bankruptcy protection because it would trigger a credit event, and thus a beneficial financial payout, on credit default swaps held by these creditors."

Health bill spreads the pain, benefits - USATODAY.com

Poor adults will get Medicaid. Low-income families will get federal subsidies to buy insurance. Small businesses will get tax credits. Children will be able to stay on parents' policies until they turn 26. Seniors will gain additional prescription-drug coverage. People with medical conditions will gain peace of mind because insurers have to cover them.

Poor already get medicade, low income already get federal subsidies, Seniors will get fucked now. Oh and they will have to pay more to get fucked.

Obama was elected by a majority of votes in the electoral college. He won the popular vote.

He is not required to base every decision on the will of polls.

wow, so he doesn't HAVE TO LISTEN to the REST of the people who didn't vote for him, is this what you're saying.?
You mean the way Lil' Dumbya said he didn't NEED any proof o' WMDs....when the anti-War folks said it was REQUIRED....before going-to-War??!!!

:eusa_eh:

wow, so he doesn't HAVE TO LISTEN to the REST of the people who didn't vote for him, is this what you're saying.?

No, and i have no idea how you reached such a stupid conclusion. Let's try again:

He doesn't have to listen to anybody, period. Upon being duly elected, the President is under no obligation to lead based on polls or the alleged will of the people. He is only obligated to act under rights granted to the Executive branch by the Constitution.

If the public determines that he is not acting in their best interest they can vote him out four years later.

That's because the founders didn't create a pure democracy.

hummm, so you're saying we elect a DICTATOR every four years and if the people don't like it, tough shit.
Lemme guess......you're not old-enough to vote, right??

:eusa_eh:

Proof? Or is this another blame bush scheme?

This should have been rephrased into what it really means, which is who do you trust more to give you free shit while you sit on your lazy ass at the house with your hands out.

75% of Americans where against this healthcare bill, only the entitlement class supported it.

She's obviously part of the entitlement class.

Whenever I hear Boehnner or Ryan or even the Right wing "Pundits", they all say something to the effect "The American people want..." or "The American people disagree with this president". Seems that they and only they have the credibility to speak for "The American people".

Isn't this constant line of rhetoric just another arrow in their quiver to de-legitimize this particular president? It's more subtle than 'birther' claims or saddling Jeremiah Wright to Obama's back. Certainly more civil than calling him a Marxist/Socialist/Communist. More acceptable than calling him a terrorist sympathizer or a secret Muslim.

But the message remains: the Right does not see this president as 'one of us' in that charming, old tradition of Conservatives.

BHO saddled Wright to his back, that has nothing to do with the will of the people
Bin Ladens picture of him dead?
Poll: Most want U.S. to release Osama's death phot... - Silobreaker

The will of the people on his style of health care reform cost his party close to 70 seats in the house
The will of the people was ignored
Gee! I didn't think invading Iraq was a good idea. In fact, it was against my will. Same goes for rolling back regulations on reducing pollutants, union rights, stem cell research, torturing humans, sending POWs to Guantanamo Bay, bailing out Wall Street investment firms, restricting abortion availability and granting no-bid contracts to firms the vice president ran. But that's my will. And I'm an American.

Strange how that works out!
Bingo!!!!

Ya' ever get the impression, that....much like their History text-books....Texas also has approved Dictionaries....and, they're all missing the word Consistent????

The only ones the Obama represents are his political backers and special interest groups.

He has no USE for the rest of the American people..but this last election showed SOME of the American people are WAKING UP to things. Now lets vote out this ugly thuggish, divisive, race baiting so called, President and his Comrades in Arms in the Democrat party in 2012..

:cuckoo:.

Why do Conservatives live in the fantasy world that the majority of Americans somehow align with their view point?.. It's obvious they don't. All you have to do is take one look at a poll on the Tea Party.. The longer it's around, the more negatively people think about it. Also most polls show that majorities of Americans break to the left when it comes down to issues, not just cutesy word-play.

Now.. do people love Obama?.. And has Obama done everything right? Oh hell no.. but when presented with a choice of going back to the 8 years of Bush, or going forward with what we have, people understand the choice they have to make.

The only Americans that are "waking up" to Obama and his "comrades", are the fucking teabaggers that didn't like Obama from the very start.

I agree the spell check got kind of crazy there
But the point is there and as usual you ignored it
It maybe funny to you, but to us that are paying the bills, its not funny

It was YOU radical Far-RW MFers that voted for a dictator....TWICE!!

I'll take 8 more years of Bush over this joker Obama. Seriously. And I voted for him. The lesser of evils deal. Turned out he wasn't really a lesser evil. He's kept more than half of Bush's policies. Ones he bitched about during his campaign. He spends more on the wars he bitched about then Bush. Even got us involved in a new one. Now Libya will be unstable. Debt, don't even get me started there. Healthcare reform? What Reform? Obama is a waste. More than that, a nightmare.

The answer is no. Because no man can represent the will of the people. The will of the people is not a monolithic entity.

I ask a question about Obama and the peoples will
And as far as the 8 years under GWB
all 90 months had less than 6% UE
Break to the left? this is called a poll
"Conservatives" Are Single-Largest Ideological Group
What did GWB do bad?
I mean we created 6 million jobs after 9-11 and Clinton's recession, Enron, & major hurricanes
The housing crises we did to ourselves, Govt from 01-08 had nothing to do with it
