Yes, that was sensational!~ There is a pic in that mixture of her wearing a sun dress and a string of pearls. I had a dress exactly like that.

if you ever looked anything like that, I'd definitely be at your door... howling at the moon...

There was a time..........and in those days, I had my pick!

Those were the days, Sunshine.

There were no computers. Television was black & white. Phone calls from a booth were a nickel and so were Connie Francis songs on the Wurlitzer juke box.

If we'd had a glimpse of what today would be like we wouldn't have believed or wanted it.

I owe you rep! You are SO right! Her old movie 'Where the Boys Are' is on DVD on Amazon and even the used ones are fairly expensive in comparison to other used DVDs.

Yesterday, I was telling a friend how lucky I am that when I got sick, my son is able to support me and my daughter has a lovely house with a huge master suite she is willing to give up to me. My friend said, 'you did a good job raising your children.' I suppose. But it was harder than it was for my parents to raise me and my brother and sister. So many evil forces out in the world today, I was not sorry when they decided to forgo having children. Then mother nature decided my daughter needed a little boy. Teaching him good values weighs heavily on her. I can only trust he will be OK.

...not to mention a five mile walk through the snow to and from school, uphill both ways

and we LIKED it. :D

It was after the rape that she had a breakdown. She never recovered from that. As I remember it was a particularly brutal rape and she was left for dead.

remember her well. I read she is still active as a recording and performing artist (as of November 2011).

Yeah the good ole days when women were only allowed to be nurses, teachers or entertainers.

Her rapist was never found. That might have contributed to part of her mental instability.
