I got some cards back from PSA this past week. A few are for my personal collection and some I'm reselling. Here are a couple of the nice ones I got back.

I have a 1953 Billy Martin rookie card. Bought it off a guy needing money. Also bought the entire Seattle Pilots team cards from same guy. They only were in Seattle one year.

I have about a hundred cards that my Mother didn't throw away (Argh). I have rookie cards of Carl Yastrzemski, Johnny Bench and Rod Carew and a couple of Mickey Mantles which are the most valuable ones.

Best thing to do for value and to keep them from getting damaged, is to send them off to PSA or SGC to get them graded and encapsulated. Beckett also does it, but they are more often used for newer cards than vintage ones.

Just to give an example of how much of a difference getting a card graded can make, I won the Eric Dickerson rookie card off eBay for $1.80. Yes, only $1.80. I paid $8 to get it graded by PSA and one just like mine graded a PSA 9 sold for $36 on March 31st.

I didn't realize you can actually send them in to have them graded. Interesting.

Yeah check this out. A 1993 Upper Deck SP Derek Jeter rookie card, a card that is only 25 years old, graded a PSA 10 sold for $99,100!
