He was Sec. of Defense during Bush I. He helped plan the Gulf War to free Kuwait.

I'd like to know how he "lied about WMDs" for the Iraq War. He saw the same intel that everyone else including Kerry and Hilary saw, and they voted for war.

His stance on torture is the same as many Americans, that it should be an option to be available for a few terrorists that have actionable knowledge we could gain.

Somehow I doubt you really care about the hunting accident. You'll give a pass to Teddy Kennedy killing a woman, but supposedly you care about one of Cheney's friends getting a minor wound?

He raised a family, served his Country on several occassions, didn't simply take a job as CEO or board member (which is what most people do after leaving office) and count his millions. He got back into it.

Suffered a number of heart attacks but yet continues to contribute--if you want to call it that--to the national debate.

I know that if I were him, I wouldn't go anywhere near politics; he can make more doing much much less and not have to put up with guys like you and me watching his every move.

Its a very easy question to answer. I disagree with likely 80 percent of his policies but at heart, he's a good person. I don't dobut that for a second.

Both LBJ and JFK were married to women they could have never deserved. That's actually not that uncommon of a trait though in First Ladies. There's been a few notable exceptions, but the women to hold that position have typically been among the best in the nation, while their husbands could barely measure up.
