I definitely believe it is a scam. The more I learn about and the more I talk to religious people, the more and more I believe that.

Yanno Chris.................I kinda think that religion is much like spiritual elementary school, there to teach you how to behave around your fellow human and also to make you realize that there is something in the Universe much bigger than you that will care about you if you care about It.

But, to stay stuck in just one dogma or belief system does an injustice to you, because God is much larger than one belief system or dogma. Either He is Everything or He is nothing.

And............if you look for the similarities rather than the dogmatic differences, you'd see that pretty much every religion teaches pretty much the same thing. The Eastern belief system of Tao is similar to what Judaic beliefs teach, and what the Buddha taught is remarkably similar to what Jesus taught.
