You can off course tell us, why you feel positive or negative about a
given country.

I'll start:

Germany
Very positive. It's the place of my birth. They are also the most
productive people in Christian world and whilst "Western World" is
declining economically, the Germans continue to rise.
Usually, they only spend money they have.
No shiny glimmer glamor attitudes with non-existing money.

Syria
Very positive. When I was in Aleppo (I still visit it from time to time), I witnessed that Syrians are warm and talkative people, when you walk through inner city of Aleppo you can almost chit-chat with any foreigner. Women are also beautiful, but I did not have such experience there.
Food is also very good delicious.

...to be continued.

Interesting thread, Ekrem. With any luck it will flourish. For good or for worse, but with any luck, a bit of both.

Agreed with regards to Germany. A very industrious nation that so often has to apologise for the actions of a few madmen. Europe (Britain included) has alot to learn from them.

I've had very good experiences of Europe and the near east, including your native Turkey, twice (Antalya and Lydia). Very beautiful.

I will never go back to either Iraq or Afghanistan. Ever.

Turkey - Loved Istanbul. People are great and they grill their food..how sweet is that.

Japan - What fun..hot springs, bars, amazing cities..and great people.

Italy - Come for the food..stay for the women.

Croatia - Split: Eastern Europe's answer to the Rivera.

France - One of the most beautiful country sides ever. Driving through it was a distinct pleasure.

Thailand - Wild and whacky. This people know how to laugh at themselves and with you.

England - So much history so little time.

Greece - Never seen water so blue...nor history so real.

China - Never get over how eager they are to start businesses.

Brazil - Now I know what the songs were talking about.

Guatemala - Wow..so challenging.

Germany - Oktoberfest was the bomb.

Holland - What an AmsterDAMN good time.

Haiti/Domincan Republic - Hmm..let me know that even in poverty people still thrive.

Czech Republic - I've never been in a city more beautiful then Prague. (Well maybe NYC..but thats my home)

I was in the First Gulf war, so I had a slight problem with Iraq.

I am over it, and so are they.
