Do you have Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours"

I don't own it, but I love the tunes on that album. They're incredible. I'd say its one of the top ten albums of all time. :clap2:

Is it true that thunder only happens when it's raining?

great song!

I also love that tune Landslide.....I think it was on that album

Yeah, that's a good one.

And I used to think he was hot!

Saw him on some show on PBS, he can still play. He also was the one who taught guitar to the actors in "Almost Famous", because Cameron Crowe wanted his actors to really play a few songs in the movie. (Stillwater was supposed to be Zeppelin)

Inside Music: Re:Masters

If you're of a certain age, chances are you do.

I guess I am that, but of an older vintage; I was introduced to the Rumours Album in 1978; bought it in a vinyl disc and on 8-trac tapetoo, and must've played "Monday Mornin" a thousand times straight. That must've been a phase I went through, a little late as a 37 year old. The same person (a hippy employee who owned only a motorcycle and lived in a house trailer) also at the same time introduced me to Jethro Tull's "Thick as a Brick", and then we sequed into the works of Neil Young. It seems that JT and Neil (after he seperated from CSN ) both contributed to "acid" rock as a style of music.

EZ, in the nineties there was a bar in Spencer, 20 miles nw of B-Town where a guy played and sang Neil Young every night of the week for tips.

"Revolution Blues"

Well, we live in a trailer
at the edge of town
You never see us
'cause we don't come around.
We got twenty five rifles
just to keep
the population down.
But we need you now,
and that's why
I'm hangin' 'round.
So you be good to me
and I'll be good to you,
And in this land of conditions
I'm not above suspicion
I won't attack you,
but I won't back you.

Well, it's so good to be here,
asleep on your lawn.
Remember your guard dog?
Well, I'm afraid
that he's gone.
It was such a drag
to hear him
whining all night long.
Yes, that was me with the doves,
setting them free
near the factory
Where you built your computer,
love.
I hope you get the connection,
'cause I can't take
the rejection
I won't deceive you,
I just don't believe you.

Well, I'm a barrel of laughs,
with my carbine on
I keep 'em hoppin',
till my ammunition's gone.
But I'm still not happy,
I feel like
there's something wrong.
I got the revolution blues,
I see bloody fountains,
And ten million dune buggies
comin' down the mountains.
Well, I hear that Laurel Canyon
is full of famous stars,
But I hate them worse than lepers
and I'll kill them
in their cars.

"Thick As a Brick" by JT was an album with only one cut, an amazing piece of work. Here are the first 8 minutes of it [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-vXEJrU9i0]YouTube - Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick [Part 1/5][/ame]
Thick As A Brick - Jethro Tull
Really don't mind if you sit this one out.

My words but a whisper -- your deafness a SHOUT.
I may make you feel but I can't make you think.
Your sperm's in the gutter -- your love's in the sink.
So you ride yourselves over the fields and
you make all your animal deals and
your wise men don't know how it feels to be thick as a brick.
And the sand-castle virtues are all swept away in
the tidal destruction
the moral melee.
The elastic retreat rings the close of play as the last wave uncovers
the newfangled way.
But your new shoes are worn at the heels and
your suntan does rapidly peel and
your wise men don't know how it feels to be thick as a brick.

And the love that I feel is so far away:
I'm a bad dream that I just had today -- and you
shake your head and
say it's a shame.
