yep. i met my soul mate in 1982, married him in 1985 & still can't imagine life without him.
 
I just don't know.

This nation has a terrible divorce rate which can even upend a 48-year marriage.

What was a soul mate situation for 24 years can change into The War of the Roses, The First Wives' Club, or Kramer versus Kramer a year later.

War can remove a husband less than a month after he enlists.

Cancer can take away a young, vivacious, and charming bride or the Marlboro man.

An office party to which the spouses are not invited can break up soul mates.

Drugs, alcohol, contentiousness, poverty, and sexual preference changes can ruin soul mates.

You're lucky if it's a 40-year or more marriage that ends due to complications of old age and you have enough blissful memories to carry you through the rest of your life.

Finding a soul mate after 70 is a whole 'nother ball game, and it doesn't take long to notice that three strikes you're out still goes. :coffee:
 
Nah. I believe in love, but the notion that any two people are meant to be together seems far fetched
