I agree 100% with the OP, it's a damn shame that we need laws that protect the rights of private businesses to do with their property as they see fit.

The NC law is silent on what private businesses do with their bathrooms. It's applicability is restricted to government owned facilities.

Okay. I haven't read the other states' "bathroom" laws.
