Do we have a revenue problem or a spending problem?

We are winning because...

Again, glaring evidence of extreme ignorance...

You are "winning"? Really? In what world? Charlie Sheen's?

Only Charlie Sheen and dumbocrats can get their asses handed to them in every facet of life and still declare "winning".

Let's see, at the 2010 midterm's, we saw one of the biggest landslides in US history in which Republican's dominated so thoroughly, they not only took the House, they set records for governor's, and even mayor's winning. To the extent that even uber liberal Wisconsin elected Scott Walker not once, but twice!!!

The only thing you've "won" is a presidential election (and considering that laughable approval rating of this failure, and the economy he has created, it's likely that "win" - like most of your's - was the result of voter fraud).

We have both, a revenue and a spending problem; most of all we have an ignorance problem. Posts and threads offering a forced choice such this one are foolish.

The facts indicate you could not be more wrong. Revenue's to the federal government are as high as any point in U.S. history. So to say we also have a revenue problems is just wrong. We have a spending problem. A massive, serious, pathetic, marxist spending problem.

When $130 million only funds your federal government for 20 minutes, there is something horribly wrong.

Really? Care to explain how a rich guy paying top tax rate on income over, say, 500k can have a lower living standard than a guy making 50k?

Um, where did I say the wealthy could have a lower standard of living?

Well, then it does not make a lot of sense to cause even more pain on the rest, does it?

Can you ask your mom or dad to come into the room and read the thread to you? You said (and I quote) "Care to explain how a rich guy paying top tax rate on income over, say, 500k can have a lower living standard than a guy making 50k?". Again, that is what you said. You. Ok? Got it? Following the conversation so far? Then I responded that I never said a wealthy person would have a LOWER standard of living than a middle class or lower class person. Still following? Are you sure? To which you inexplicably reply "well then it does not make a lot of sense to cause more 'pain' on the rest" :cuckoo:.

Essentially, you just said your focus is to lower the standard of living for the wealthy. Not fix the debt. Not correct any issues. You're simply out to lower there standard of living because you are jealous of them. Wow...

And just where does all this big bad corruption start?

Start? Or perhaps you are referring to what is the origin?
If so, that is easy.
Look in the mirror.
The last election something truly amazing happened...with few exceptions, all of the same people were re-elected. Despite overwhelming disapproval ratings - ALL OF THE SAME PEOPLE WERE RE-ELECTED.
The origin of the thorough corruption in our government is the complacency and partisan voting of the general public.

Just wanted to quote this in case anyone missed it.

:clap2::clap2::clap2:

Think politicians are too corrupt? Stop voting for them. Think businesses are evil? Stop shopping there. Think unions are harmful? Don't join one. The simple fact is that a majority of americans just don't care. Or if they do, they do only in opinion, not in action.
