Even if video games did not exist, people would still have TV shows in front of their faces.

No.....there are 74.2 million kids in this country, how many play violent video games? How many go on to shoot people?

So no....no more than D & D turned kids into killers back in the 80s...

If they did, we would have much more school shootings than we did.

That said, I do think that future school shooters are attracted to first person shooter video games. The problem is that the majority of other boys are also attracted to first person shooter video games. It's not diagnostic.
