Woman arrested after fight with Southwest Airlines flight attendant over nail polish - NY Daily News
This passenger decides to paint her nails on a plane. My first reaction is WTF, but classless people are common. Nail polish stinks (and is flammable) and it's inappropriate to generate these fumes in a closed ventilation system while flying. It bothers others. As far as danger is concerned, one bottle of nail polish cannot generate enough fumes to reach flash, nor can it generate enough fumes to harm anyone's health. But, it will annoy.
So, the passenger was wrong, IMO.
However, when she was told to stop by a flight attendant, she decided to go to the restroom and continue painting her nails. Upon exiting the rest room, another flight attendant laid into her.
The passenger says the flight attendant kept going off on her even after she said she was sorry (so the passenger says). So, the passenger told the flight attendant to stop bitching at her.
And, the passenger got arrested upon landing. She spent 10 hours in jail for that before the judge dropped the charges.
The charges were not based on the passenger doing her nails, rather they were based on the passenger telling the flight attendant to stop bitching at her.
That's some scary power flight attendants have. Pretty vindictive, I say.
