Dunno. A lot of em have some crazy notion that a tax increase is a tax cut, though.

It's the darndest thing.

That last tax bill was actually a tax increase, thanks to the GOP's adoption of chained cpi into their legislation. We're getting hit with the inflation tax. It's just a gradual tax increase, is all, gowing bigger and bigger and bigger very gradually. Around the time it expires, it'll have maxxed out and we'll see a lot of people in the middle class bumped into higher tax brackets.

Politicians love the inflation tax because they do not have to vote on it.

Lol you crack me up. As if Kennedy’s assessment is somehow relevant to today. For one thing, the National income for most jobs has not increased nearly enough to keep up with rising inflation. It is a complete myth that a cut to taxes for the rich would somehow create an adequate amount of revenue. Why? Because there are very few rich people in the top 1%. Their spending habits don’t do jack shit to significantly raise revenue.
