Don’t Overthink a Climate-Change Debate

Governor Inslee, you say that America has to lead in fighting the climate crisis. But China already emits more carbon pollution than the United States, and India will soon outrank us as well. Why is this America’s battle to fight? What can the United States do about other country’s greenhouse-gas emissions?

Vice President Biden, you have discussed the importance of fighting climate change. President Barack Obama also said fighting climate change was important in 2008, but he failed to pass a climate bill through the Senate, and he didn’t help complete a climate treaty until the end of his second term. Why will you be different?

Senator Warren, you have proposed dozens of plans to bring about “broad structural change” in the United States. Some of these plans mention climate change, but many don’t. In your flurry of reform, where will you rank fighting climate change?

Former Representative Beto O’Rourke, you have released an aggressive plan for fighting climate change. Your home state of Texas is undergoing an economic boom due to increased oil and natural-gas drilling. How will you weigh the benefits of fighting climate change—which will require keeping many of those fossil fuels in the ground—with this burst of short-term economic prosperity?"

Its not what ideas you have-its what you can get done. Look at Trump and the wall.

We could always go more nuclear.

Oh but nuclear power is evil according to the left. Only power production method that fucks over as many Americans as possible can even be considered.

It sounds like the DNC has really just gone with the flow of being thought police to the point of quick eliminations of the masses of people who think they should be President. No political sharks there, and 19 of the 20 will be gone soon, anyway.

The Dims know their AGW cult cannot withstand any degree of informed criticism, so they are simply going to outlaw it.

No, it's a real topic. The evidence that the Earth is warming is undeniable and while some of this may be due cyclical elements, the fact that the warming so closely parallels the increase of hothouse gases and the decrease of the rain forests makes a strong case that at least some of the change is due to human activity. The problem is that the issue has become so politicized that a doofus like Ocasio-Cortez proposes a man made catastrophe, her Green New Deal, as a solution to climate change and people like Nancy Pelosi who know better say it is aspirational, and on the other side people who should know better say there is no problem at all.

I agree. The Anthropogenic Global Warming political theorists have come under scrutiny by the greater scientific community who showed mathematically that Al Gore's bullshit theory was not based on the truth.

The last thing we need now is politicians debating this issue that they have already politicized beyond any possibility of rational discussion.

I do not believe that much of any climate change is due to humans. And you must separate pollution from climate change also. We have closing in on 9 billion people. That is a lot. And they are growing in numbers near everywhere. Including traditional low lying areas or areas that can flood or get hurricanes or get tornadoes or areas that are affected by a quicker change of weather. To many lies over the years. To many people that have made a profit on the subject. And since we would be nearly alone in this white elephent excursion, we will continue our decline as a major nation of production. The newer richer producing nations that use us as their bait, won't need us forever.

Climate change action has never been a ? in a presidential debate EVER!:2up:. Because people dont care....doy.

People on the k00k left think the GND is going to be this huge issue in the upcoming election. LOL.....it wont come within 1,000 miles of the DUM convention. These people want the executive office back.....having a GND as a cornerstone of a platform brings certain defeat!:eusa_dance::eusa_dance::eusa_dance:

Nuclear power is dead, buried and covered in several feet of concrete.

Read his link.

I did.

He has a good point.

It isn't about "Climate Change."

This would go for any candidate that was campaigning on any single issue, whether it was Hillary going on about women and minorities and wanting a debate on victimization and the patriarchy, or Bernie wanting a debate on wealth stratification and the "one percent." It is against their rules to have a single issue debate.

"The DNC actually has a fine reason for declining Inslee’s request: Adding a single-issue climate debate would be against its rules, which it wrote to account for, and avoid, the bitterness left over from 2016."

Nuclear power is dead, buried and covered in several feet of concrete.

You need to check your facts. New technology in fast neutron reactors (FNRs), which are fueled by existing nuclear waste, are already being rolled out in Europe, and are already planned here (our versions are the updated PRISM and ARC-100 reactors). These reactors can power the entire US electrical grid for 100 years using just the existing nuclear waste that exists in the US today.

Let me tell ya--------->It might escape the DNC debates, but I got 5 bucks that says-------->when the debates arrive between Trump and the DNC candidate, Trump will insure, it is front and center, lol.

And there will be no good answer for the DNC candidate, who do they want to alienate; their whole base, or the rest of America-) And of course, no matter their answer, Trump will tweet about it, from there forward until election day-)

I mean, seriously...…...and lets all be honest here----------->THAT question translated into political speak really is-----------> Hey DNC candidate, what are you......a REAL, or a FAKE Socialist?

And that ends their candidacy right then and there, no matter which way they answer!
