I'm Asian-Indian, and growing up in the USA, I enjoyed watching the African-American talent presentation television program "Showtime at the Apollo" (1987-2008).
I wondered if the predominantly African-American members of the audience brought with them voice recorders to keep a log of the achievements of cultural fare. Certainly, the hypothetical treasure of such recordings could remind people of the power that modern media has in catalyzing 'populism dialogue.'
