Consider the facts....under Obama, unemployment, stagnant recovery, over regulation, and ObamaCare.

Compare that to the policies of Ronald Reagan....tax cuts, encouragement of business, and astounding recovery!

...

Ronald Reagan talked about the "evil empire." Why not. He created it. He created an evil empire of capitalists and political extremists who destroyed the future for generations of Americans with tax cutting, globalization, union antagonism and deregulation. Reagan was a monster. He was evil to his rotten core.

Asshole what government agency do you work for...

Comparing the 80s to the present day as if it were something we can have again is ludicrous. Banking regs in those days were a lot tighter and bankers who engaged in fraud were jailed not lightly fined and offered positions at RW think tanks. The income gap was nowhere as bad as now and big business had only started the process of mortally wounding the middle class. Blaming everything on Obama is stupid and even worse it lets the real culprits off the hook. These problems did not start in Jan. 2009, they started way back with Reagan who you seem to think is just awesome in spite of his biggest ever government expansion.

Yet liberals keep bringing up slavery.......

Weird, huh?

2.5x more private sector jobs were created in Obama's 5 years than in Bush's 8. Proof tax cuts aren't viable options for economic growth.
The Bush tax cuts resulted in a record 52 straight months of job creation, creating 8 million new jobs and unemployment rate dropping to 4.4%. After tax income per capita increased by more than 11%.

No that is complete bullshit. You are talking about more people in the workforce. Any economist will tell you that isn't how you measure job growth. That is not net job creation. NEW jobs. Either way it wouldn't account for much considering we lost millions of jobs in the final months of his presidency.
Millions?????

Now that is bullshit.

Wait a minute--there is enough blame to go around probably started when politicians received large pay checks and extreme perks and bennies I don't know. But one thing for sure politicians can not and will not fix it because the first thing they need to do is stop blame. Never gonna happen in this lifetime.

Are you counting the millions lost under Obama or just the ones you figure are Bushes' fault?

Fyi, Bush didn't have a congress willing to work with him. The Dems literally cheered on the crash.

Look it up.

Tax cuts work, they benefit the citizen (I recall the nice check I received during the Bush tax cuts), and the economy.

If we look at the numbers, in 2007, the deficit was down to 160 billion, which is just a small fraction (under 15%) of Obama's current deficit. And this included spending for the war on terror.

Under President Bush, total federal revenues increased from 793 billion in 2003 (after the tax cuts were implemented), to 1.16 trillion in 2007. This amounted to an increase of 47%.

If we look at capital gains, the capital gain rates were cut in 2003 by 25%, however by 2005 the revenues from capital gains had doubled.

Deficits during the Bush years averaged just 2% of GDP. President Obama's deficit numbers amount to five times as much.

So overall, tax cuts benefit the economy as it gives business more money to invest and hire, and it gives the citizen more money to spend.

as long as we keep electing Republicans AND Democrats nothing will get better

saw a recent poll where people are dissatisfied with federal government but like their local government........it just proves people need to pay attention better

local governments are always dishing out the pork, Stadium subsidies are some of the more prominent examples.

I don't think so. I think the problem is your perspective.

When we provide a mountain of truth, you have to look at it from the bottom so you think you're in a hole. You're just going to have to try to climb the mountain.

Big business is doing awesome right now, it just isn't trickling down for some reason. Could it be that they like us happy just to have a shitty no raise ever job rather than homeless and destitute?

The problem is obvious: Obama.

Consider the facts....under Obama, unemployment, stagnant recovery, over regulation, and ObamaCare.

1. ... the tax cuts of the Economic Recovery Act of 1981 stimulated economic growth. “As a 1982 JEC study pointed out,[1] similar across-the-board tax cuts had been implemented in the 1920s as the Mellon tax cuts, and in the 1960s as the Kennedy tax cuts. In both cases the reduction of high marginal tax rates actually increased tax payments by "the rich," also increasing their share of total individual income taxes paid.” http://www.house.gov/jec/fiscal/tx-grwth/reagtxct/reagtxct.htm

2. “As inflation came down and as more and more of the tax cuts from the 1981 Act went into effect, the economic began a strong and sustained pattern of growth.” US Department of the Treasury

The benefits from Reaganomics:
a. The economy grew at a 3.4% average rate…compared with 2.9% for the previous eight years, and 2.7% for the next eight.(Table B-4)
b. Inflation rate dropped from 12.5% to 4.4%. (Table B-63)
c. Unemployment fell to 5.5% from 7.1% (Table B-35)
d. Prime interest rate fell by one-third.(Table B-73)
e. The S & P 500 jumped 124% (Table B-95) FDsys - Browse ERP

f. Charitable contributions rose 57% faster than inflation. Dinesh D’Souza, “Ronald Reagan: How an Ordinary Man Became an Extraordinary Leader,” p. 116

These are the facts.

As is this: Obama and his socialist policies don't work.
When will you realize that?

1) there is NOTHING socialist about Obama's policies.

2) Obama is the reason why we are in a recovery in a first place. We lost several millions of jobs until his stimulus package came into effect. We were in a tail spin. Now we are actually CREATING jobs

3) 2.5x more private sector jobs were created in Obama's 5 years than in Bush's 8. Proof tax cuts aren't viable options for economic growth.

"there is NOTHING socialist about Obama's policies."

I'd say you were the most stupid poster on the board...but there are actually enough other Obama voters that you actually just get a place in the queue.....

...but one near the front.

So the Soviets passed a law that makes private insurers, hospitals, doctors etc. money, that they were previously losing due to welfare cases?

Well I'll be.

I must have missed that in all my books on history/sociology/economics.

Tutorial coming up:

1. Obama wasn't the first Bolshevik to support socialized medicine.

For context, there was Henry Sigerist: "He devoted himself to the study of history of medicine. Socialized Medicine in the Soviet Union (1937), and History of Medicine were among his most important works.

He emerged as a major spokesman for "compulsory health insurance". ...He attacked the American Medical Association because of his conflicting views on socialized medicine."
Henry E. Sigerist - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

a. And, Sigerist was one of the apologists for Stalin, including his state-engineered famine in the Ukraine. 7 million perished (http://www.historyplace.com/worldhistory/genocide/stalin.htm).

b. Sigerist "shared with the architects of Soviet health policy under Stalin an outlook best described as medical totalitarianism.

He really believed that humanity would be better off if every individual were under the medical supervision of the state from cradle to grave....[and] Sigerist's belief in the necessity for state control over all aspects of medicine ultimately made him an apologist for state control over most aspects of human life."
Fee and Brown, eds. "Making Medical History: The Life and Times of Henry E. Sigerist," p. 252

"He really believed that humanity would be better off if every individual were under the medical supervision of the state from cradle to grave..."

Does he sound just like a certain President??

"I must have missed that in all my books on history/sociology/economics."

Both of 'em?

Should'a opened them after you got 'em.

Provenance of the Mortage Meltdown, Fiscal crisis:.... Democrat policies:

1. Democrat FDR shredded the Constitution....ignoring article I, section 8, the enumerated powers.
He created GSE's Fannie and Freddie to do something the Constitution didn't authorize: meddle in housing.

2. Democrat Carter....the CRA, constraining banking policy

3. Democrat Clinton....strengthened the CRA
Under Clinton, HUD threatened banks, again, to give unrequited loans.
Henchmen: Democrats Cisneros and Cuomo.

4. Democrats Frank and Dodd barred any governmental discipline in this area.

That's the CliffNotes version.

Don't you know to whom we are posting?

'Stalin' is from the Russian for 'steel.'

One of the books I'm reading is Brad Thor's novel,"Full Black," and he explains folks like that poster:

"Individualism in america is hard-wired into our DNA.We want to make our own decisions, even if it means making mistakes. We don't want other people telling us what to do.
There's a group of people, though, who believe that you and I are too stupid to make our own decisions and that they should do it for us. Despite America being the greatest force for good in the history of the world, they see it as greedy and evil. They've been tearing it apart bit by bit for decades and have become desperate to finish the job.
...foundations aligned with [these people] have been heavy contributors to educational endowments...and control the curricula.
[Their] ideology had to grow without being challenged. Hence the disappearance of civics classes and the portrayal of American history through the lens of imperialism and aggression. Instead of social studies, children were taught studies in social justice with America repeatedly shown as the bad guy.

...students subjected to this propaganda are now adults."

And that poster is one of the results.
