Disguising Tyrrany

The Bush tax cuts resulted in a record 52 straight months of job creation, creating 8 million new jobs and unemployment rate dropping to 4.4%. After tax income per capita increased by more than 11%.

No that is complete bullshit. You are talking about more people in the workforce. Any economist will tell you that isn't how you measure job growth. That is not net job creation. NEW jobs. Either way it wouldn't account for much considering we lost millions of jobs in the final months of his presidency.
Millions?????

Now that is bullshit.

At least 2 million jobs lost in the last 4 months of Bush's presidency.

"40,000 new laws take effect in 2014
(CNN) - It may have been the least productive year for Congress in history, at least in terms of passing laws – fewer than 60 of which made it through the House and Senate and were signed by President Barack Obama.

Across the country, however, state lawmakers were busy getting more than 40,000 bills passed, ones that tackle everything from drones to food stamp benefits."

Gee, and 30 of the governors who signed those bills into laws are Republicans. But they never do anything wrong...right?

Tax cuts work, they benefit the citizen (I recall the nice check I received during the Bush tax cuts), and the economy.

If we look at the numbers, in 2007, the deficit was down to 160 billion, which is just a small fraction (under 15%) of Obama's current deficit. And this included spending for the war on terror.

Under President Bush, total federal revenues increased from 793 billion in 2003 (after the tax cuts were implemented), to 1.16 trillion in 2007. This amounted to an increase of 47%.

If we look at capital gains, the capital gain rates were cut in 2003 by 25%, however by 2005 the revenues from capital gains had doubled.

Deficits during the Bush years averaged just 2% of GDP. President Obama's deficit numbers amount to five times as much.

So overall, tax cuts benefit the economy as it gives business more money to invest and hire, and it gives the citizen more money to spend.

Tax cuts for the wealthy only help the wealthy. Trickle down economics is the biggest political lie. Tax cuts for the wealthy mostly stimulate supply. They do not stimulate much demand at all. As a result there isn't much economic growth. The Bush tax cuts only created 4.6 jobs per million dollar cut.

Tax cuts for the lower classes is only mildly beneficial. Over all it is still a loss. For every dollar lost in revenue, there is only .59 cent growth.

Oh and there is no denying that the Bush years are responsible for 10 trillion of the debt. Also, there was no spending growth under Obama. Obama's spending is at the same rate as it was for Bush.

Millions?????

Now that is bullshit.

So are you just unaware of this economic downturn? Look it up. 2.3 million jobs were lost by the time Bush stepped out.

Are you counting the millions lost under Obama or just the ones you figure are Bushes' fault?

Fyi, Bush didn't have a congress willing to work with him. The Dems literally cheered on the crash.

Look it up.

Don't be stupid. The millions we lost under Obama were in his first few months. Obama had nothin to do with those losses.

1. If you are on the look-out for tyranny and oppression of the Soviet Union variety, then it is no wonder you don't even realize that you live under almost the same virulent level.

The current brand of tyranny was explained by J.L.Talmon as a system of government in which lawfully elected representatives maintain the integrity of a nation state whose citizens, while granted the right to vote, have little or no participation in the decision-making process of the government.

How do they do it?

2. Former NY Senator James Buckley gives the reason:
Today, this federal law is 1700 pages more than it was prior to the New Deal. The reason is the creation of more and more bureaus and agencies endowed with ever broader responsibilities and discretion in defining the rules that govern our activities and our lives.
And these rules have the full force of law!
Congress has increased the number of rules whose infractions are criminalized, waiving the common law requirement that one knows he is breaking the law. Today, one can be jailed for violating a regulation that one had no reason to know even existed!

What once was....and what now is:

3. "... laws in America used to be simple and beautiful.
They were written with care, and citizens could read them quickly and understand their meaning. Of the four organic laws that founded America—the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, the Northwest Ordinance, and the Constitution of the United States—none of them was more than 4,500 words long.

4. [This example of the kind of writing, from the Northwest Ordinance:]

'We Have to Pass the Bill to Find Out What's In It' - ...not by accident, and "not readable or comprehensible to any member of Congress who voted for it or to the citizens whose lives it was aimed at manipulating in a detailed and intrusive way."
Ibid.

6. The governing elites might have chosen to use Occitan or Old Norse runes in the writing of laws and regulations, or made it illegal for non-elected officials to even read the laws we must live under.

7. The result is an oppression as firm and ineluctable as actual chains.

And the collectivist regime has taken aim squarely at the economic sector!
In effect, the private sector, the free market, exists no longer...excepted only by way of bribing, lobbying.

" The evidence is overwhelming that the Obama regulatory surge is one reason the current economic recovery has been so lackluster by historical standards.

Rather than nurture an economy trying to rebuild confidence after a financial heart attack, the Administration pushed through its now-famous blitz of liberal policies on health care, financial services, energy, housing, education and student loans, telecom, labor relations, transportation and probably some other industries we've forgotten. Dumb fuck, the wars were off the books. They were put on the books after President Obama took over. Not only that, cutting taxes, then engaging in two wars has to be the epitome of stupidity.

As far as the economic benefits of the tax cuts, we saw how well Bush economics worked in Oct08. Took a Democratic President to pull our chestnuts out of the fire, just like in '29.

The trucking industry is being hit hard with these also. I think there is a manipulation of that industry taking place now under all of this that is going on, and it could be that they may be trying to drive more Americans out of their seat as drivers or as independents it seems. I think they are or were hoping to replace the American drivers by Mexican drivers on down the road. I think corporations are killing this nation for greed purposes, and they are killing the Americans spirit, along with their economic freedoms found in it all at the same time. I never seen this nation so hostile towards it's own people before, but it is totally hostile towards Americans these days, and that is something that needs to be realized and then properly addressed by us sooner or later. The government and corporate America are in bed together, and our independence as Americans are at stake big time in this game now.

Comparing the 80s to the present day as if it were something we can have again is ludicrous. Banking regs in those days were a lot tighter and bankers who engaged in fraud were jailed not lightly fined and offered positions at RW think tanks. The income gap was nowhere as bad as now and big business had only started the process of mortally wounding the middle class. Blaming everything on Obama is stupid and even worse it lets the real culprits off the hook. These problems did not start in Jan. 2009, they started way back with Reagan who you seem to think is just awesome in spite of his biggest ever government expansion.
Tit for tat I guess, as Obama loves using the blame game on everyone else, and he does this just so he can hide behind that blaming in order to get his wild eyed agenda accomplished, and then it is his hopes to have it ingrained in this nation for years and years to come. Your right though, it is dumb to just focus on Obama, because as we know by scandal after scandal that has been revealed, that it is both camps that is doing this damage to us, but Obama is doing the most to us at this time. Especially when they don't work together or refuse to all because of their bull crap, so we lose.

Yep we all lose in the end, and we are all losing right now big time in this war, and that is what it is or has become a political WAR of a great magnitude.

Wondering if the OP understands who owns the state and drafts the regulations that form our crushing bureaucracy?

Wonder if the OP understands who funds our elections and spends trillions of dollars a year lobbying our politicians?

Wonder if the OP understands Patent Law? (This is where large corporations get the nanny state to build a monopoly fence around its investments so that companies like Ely Lilly and Johnson & Johnson can charge the world's highest drug costs)

The American Government is owned by private profit makers who have co-opted the state and turned it into a subsidy and bailout machine.

Does the OP know why Dick Chaney refused to release the list of names on his infamous energy commission that convened on the eve of the Iraq War to draft energy policy? Does the OP know how much money Wall Street has poured into the last five administrations in order to construct regulations that benefit them? Government is a tool of the market. Worse, it's a bogus holding - a fake corporation - the place where corporations go to erase their losses - see bailout)

Does the OP know anything about the lobbying process, or does she merely cut and paste propaganda from right-wing websites?

Capitalism - by cutting politicians into its profit loop - has absorbed the machinery of the state and formed a crusty rentier class over most domestic sectors.

If the OP wants to know who formed the crushing bureaucracy that governs her life, then she should grab her portfolio and go stand in front of the mirror. (Regulations are drafted by large corporations for the sole purpose of benefiting large corporations. Seriously, does anyone here think the OP understands the lobbying process?)

The OP is trying to fool us. He/she is trying to get us to blame the government puppets for the bureaucracy. She refuses to shine a light on the puppet masters, the profit makers who have purchased our government.

Welcome to final phase of monopoly capitalism. The state has been swallowed by the market winners. But .... tragically .... since the market winners also own big media, they can get the OP to chase the puppets, leaving the puppet masters free to loot the state.

I agree, but one can be talking about the symptoms, while the others who are like you addresses the causes or vice-versa. Both are good to talk about in an open debate or conversations like this.

What people need to understand is that both government and corporations are in bed together. Period!

They both have to be realized in this way before we can get something done about it all hopefully.

What people need to understand is that both government and corporations are in bed together. Period!

Yes. I think it makes no sense to talk about government and corporations as separate entities. Most congressmen have lucrative lobbying careers waiting for them when their political career ends.

Newt Gingrich was paid handsomely to give Fannie/Freddie access to congress. Tom Daschle was paid handsomely to give health insurance companies access to ObamaCare. We're no longer living in a world where "Brown Shirts" oppress business with crushing regulations. We're no longer living in a world where Stalin steals the family pharmacy. In today's world the pharmaceutical lobby owns Stalin, and it exercises his concentrated power with far more efficiency than he could have ever dreamed. Even worse, the corporate and wealthy forces that own government have achieved such media penetration that they can convince people like the OP to unwittingly post propaganda on their behalf.

Add the War on terror and even hurricane related spending, and the figures (227 billion in 2006) are still way lower than the current deficit:

Surging individual and corporate income-tax receipts in May continued to help the federal government shrink the budget deficit to $227 billion for the first eight months of the fiscal year.

Republicans are lowering the deficit despite the fact that emergency spending for the Global War on Terrorism and hurricane-related spending accounts for $115 billion of the projected deficit according to OMB.

GOP FISCAL DISCIPLINE, SURGING ECONOMY MAKING REAL PROGRESS IN DRIVING DOWN DEFICIT | Speaker.gov

Figures don't lie. Let me ask you, what is the difference in the taxes you pay now versus a decade ago? I know that during the Bush years I had more disposable income than I do now.

You're right, except you have it backwards.

Government owns the businesses, not vice-versa.

Government can destroy entire Industries on a whim. They've done it. They're doing it.

If those Industries don't contribute to dimocrap campaign funds, they can count on being driven out of business. If they do (Unions, Lawyers, Banks) they can count on government support.

If those Industries don't contribute to dimocraps (small business) they can count on government hostility and intrusion whenever dimocraps have the power to do so.

Anybody in here ever heard of the IRS?

Here's another interesting point..... dimocraps love to cry about the 'Income Gap'. While they're not bright enough to realize that it was the Stuttering Clusterfuck's policies of funneling money, through the Fed, to the richest men in the world (Bankers) that caused most of it, dimocraps are also too stupid to realize who's getting rich on all this government spending on itself.....

Government workers!!! And what are most government workers? Not all, but most are -- dimocraps.

Check out this Income Inequality.....

Census: D.C. Suburbs Dominate List of Richest Counties In America…

WASHINGTON-VIRGINIA-SKYLINE-AP-PHOTO-cropped-550x469.jpg

The richest is Falls Church, VA, a place where 31% work for the government.

Via CNS News:

The small suburban independent city of Falls Church, Va.—which is treated as the equivalent of a county by the Census Bureau–had a higher median household income in 2012 than any county in the United States, according to data released in December by the Census Bureau.

In the Census Bureau’s ranking of the 30 counties with the highest median household incomes, the City of Falls Church rose from the No. 2 spot in 2011 to the No. 1 spot in 2012, overtaking Loudoun County, Va.

While treated as the equivalent of a county by the Census Bureau, the City of Falls Church had a population of only 13,229 in 2012, as estimated by the Census Bureau, and is merely 2.2 square miles in size.

It is also a place where, the Census Bureau estimates, 31.3 percent of the civilians who are 16 or older and who are employed work for the government.

dimocraps are just stupid. They're voting for the people who oppress them and hating on the people (Republicans) who would help them.

THAT, is stupidity.

dimocraps, you're not poor because you're oppressed, you're poor because you're stupid

You cry out, wondering about all sorts of things.....most particularly, who runs this country?

No problem....

Tutorial coming right up:

1. In the conventional wisdom, it is Republicans and the political right, with their corporate sponsors and big-money donors who make up the “party of the rich,” while progressives speak for the poor and powerless.
This is standard progressive folklore.
Provably false....as I will do forthwith.

2. As of 2009, the financial assets of the 115 major tax-exempt foundations of the Left add up to $104.56 billlion. Not only is this total not less than the financial assets of the 75 foundations of the Right, it was more than ten times greater!

a. Bradley, Olin, Scaife, the “Big Three” conservative foundations, not one has assets exceeding $1 billion. (Olin has been defunct since 2005).
i. Scaife Foundation has assets totaling $244 million.
ii. Bradley Foundation, $623 million.

b. Fourteen progressive foundations do, including Gates, Ford, Robert Wood Johnson, Hewlett, Kellogg, Packard, MacArthur, Mellon, Rockefeller, Casey, Carnegie, Simons, Heinz, and the Open Society Institute.
i. Ford alone has 16 times what Bradley has.
ii. Soros has claimed that he has donated over $7 billion to his Open Society organizations.
iii. The leading Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, $33 billion.
“The New Leviathan,” David Horowitz and Jacob Laksin

3. With over $100 billion in tax-exempt assets at their disposal, left-wing foundations have been able to invest massively greater amounts in their beneficiary groups. Ford gave more in one year than Scaife in 40!
Ibid.

And what does all that Leftist cash buy???

4. The Shadow Party was born July 17, 2003, at Soros’s estate. It created the largest and most powerful juggernaut in American history.
Present were Madeleine Albright, John Podesta, John Pope (director of the Sierra Club), Andy Stern (SEIU), among others. The basic structure of the Shadow Party was a network of seven 527 organizations.

a. “… the network of nonprofit activist groups organized by George Soros and others to mobilize resources -- money, get-outthe-vote drives, campaign advertising and policy initiatives -- to elect Democratic candidates and guide the Democratic Party towards the left. The Internet fund-raising operation MoveOn.org is a key component.

The Shadow Party in this sense was conceived and organized principally by Soros, Hillary Clinton and Harold Ickes. Its efforts are amplified by, and coordinated with, key government unions and the activist groups associated with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). The key organizers of these groups are veterans of the Sixties left.” http://www.churchmilitant.tv/cia/02fake/102.pdf

Let's be honest.....

...you're pretty much just one of the dupes of the Left, and post pretty much the propaganda of a fool.

True?

No that is complete bullshit. You are talking about more people in the workforce. Any economist will tell you that isn't how you measure job growth. That is not net job creation. NEW jobs. Either way it wouldn't account for much considering we lost millions of jobs in the final months of his presidency.

Cutting taxes INCREASES REVENUE to the government you ignorant fuckwad.

Explain that, you stupid fucking asshat.

Here's a chart for you.

Historical Federal Receipt and Outlay Summary

Also notice that our deficit in 2007 under Bush was $160 Billion.

Under the pole-smoker-in-chief, it was ONE TRILLION THREE HUNDRED BILLION in 2011.

You people are just fucking stupid. Honest to God stupid. I'm talking animal-dumb, can barely remember to breathe stupid.
