Discussion of why the US continually act as the authoritative body in foreign affairs

So now a willingness to pay for something rather than steal it out right is economic colonization. So basically if you do anything other than let third worlders stew in their own juices you are an imperialist...

It's a form of colonialism when countries are taken over and used for private gain. That's not trading with another country, that's economic colonisation. An example is the United Fruit Company. The US used its military force to colonise various countries in central America and the Caribbean for private interests. Much like the invasion and occupation of Iraq was for the benefit of private oil interests. Not much changes does it? But why should it? The kleptocrats have control of the media and make sure people don't actually get the truth.

I'll make the point again. The US is not alone in doing this. Britain's Empire was about making individuals and corporations wealthy, it did nothing for the ordinary person except conscript the poor bastards to make them die in wars of economic interest. I doubt if a contemporary US corporation could touch the British East India Company for outright brutal colonisation of a country. Putin's Russia is doing exactly the same thing and other nations have and will continue to do so.

So don't pout, I'm having a shot at everyone

No, but nice job rewriting what people have written into a completely different (and totally absurd) point.

There's a very simple answer to that one.

Who would deny us that right.

Who would say that we had no right to liberate nations and rid the world of corruption. We're doing the world a favor, no one is going to tell us to stop but no one is going to help either so I guess it is our responsibility.

your leaving out one very important fact... the US is corrupt... our government does not follow the will of the people, it keeps us misinformed under the guise of "a safer america", and we only get involved in issues if there is something in it for us... why doesn't anyone talk about the genocide going on in africa as we speak? they have been doing it for years and are way worse than any hitler or saddam... they just dont have any oil...

there are many people who would deny us the right to police the world... but our government already saw that coming, so they called them evil and slapped some names on them, like communist, or radical liberalism... they are the ones who actually fight for their freedom... 911 was just a backlash for the constant misfortune our way of life has treated other people...

we're all raised to believe that america is at the top, and higher population and innovation is good... it's kind of funny that those 2 things will more than likely be our demise... whether it's food shortage leading to anarchy, or if it's just carbon dioxide being released when we drive our cars or spray some air freshener in our homes...
