Sooooo many songs with the simple title "Home" I have at least 14 songs on my media player with that name.

I'll post double-shots of "Home" starting with the aforementioned Alan Jackson and Dierks Bentley

I am ashamed to admit that I am only just now remembering that Joe Diffie's first song on the radio is named "Home".

different songs with the same title

On seeing the title, I immediately thought of two of my favorite musicals of all time, each of which has a main character named Maria, and a song about that character, titled Maria.

West Side Story (1961) is a reimagining of Romeo and Juliet. Maria is the character that corresponds directly to Juliet, and here, Tony (who corresponds directly to Romeo) has just met her, and fallen instantly in love with her.



On the other hand, in The Sound of Music (1965), Maria, early in the movie, is a wannabe nun that really isn't fitting in very well. Here, the other nuns vent about what a pain in the ass she is turning out to be.
