More and more is coming out about this progressive policy that ensured that minority students would never be arrested for criminal acts and have a record. By the way, Cruz was never ever expelled.

Not only did Broward County stop arresting students. They went further. No suspensions. And libs don't tell me its bullshit. I have the agreement.

So no arrests for criminal activity. No suspensions. No discipline. Cruz was a ticking time bomb but because he was statistically a hispanic he got off pretty well scott free even after bringing bullets to school and numerous violent outbursts.

♦In 2015 the School doubled-down on the diversionary policies and allowed students to break the law, including physical violence, without legal consequence.

♦In January 2017 Nikolas Cruz criminally assaulted someone; again, law enforcement engagement was blocked by policy.

♦A year later in February 2018 Cruz killed seventeen students.

What happens when you stop arresting students for clear criminal conduct and then lessen the school punishment therein?…. You get this:

We already have laws that regulate who can have those weapons. We also have laws against murder. Doesn't seem to help any. What we need to do is pass a law requiring the death penalty for any crime where a firearm is used. This would put a stop to all the violence, if for no other reason than the people who commit those crimes are dead.

Cruz is Hispanic according to the Miami Herald. And yes it applies to all students but it was proposed by Jesse Jackson and NAACP worked to bring it about. He blamed Trayvon's suspension from school as leading to his death. Also Holder wanted to stop the school pipeline to prison phenomena by implementing these policies.

"Jackson also said Martin's case illustrated the high number of black students who are suspended from school. A report issued by the U.S. Department of Education last month found that black students are more than three times as likely as their white peers to be suspended or expelled. Martin had been suspended from school for having a baggie that contained marijuana residue shortly before he was killed.
