Did Ron Paul just say to Fix the GOP not go 3rd Party?...

Do you really want to see massive Socialist Landslide Victories in 2010 & 2012? That's what will happen if a Third Party Candidate eats up Conservative votes. Dr. Paul really did nail this one.

Perhaps the fact that Ron Paul remains an R is to steer it back on Course? I have been asking the question as to why he reamins with the Republicans for a couple years now...

Askin'...

Yea Dr. Paul knows all about the Third Party thing. If he says this then you can take it to the bank. A Third Party Candidate would eat up Conservative votes and lead to massive Socialist landslide victories. It really is a "Lesser of two Evils" thing in the end. Dr. Paul knows this.

Yea.....Like Hopey Changey Paul is going to change anything.

He is lucky to change his diaper once a day

He's right in the end. If a Third Party Candidate were to run in 2012 it would be a monumental disaster for the Republican Party. The Third Party Candidate to run would likely be a Conservative-leaning Candidate and that would only take votes away from the Republican Party Candidate. That would then only open the door to a massive Democratic Party Victory. The Socialists would just win too easily. So in the end it's that old "Lesser of two Evils" thing. The Republican Party just needs to unite and start listening to real Conservatives like Dr. Paul more often. This can be done. It's just going to take a lot of work. Dr. Paul definitely nailed this one.

This country needs a third party. And badly. The two who presently pass power back and forth have fucked over America long enough. Tough shit for the Republican party. They've had their chance to do the right thing. So have the demoncwats.

I agree, but sadly, to even get noticed, you have to be registered under one of the two parties.

It's more pragmatism than pimping a party label...

That's fixin to change. Pay attention.

I think better than a third party would be the end of all the parties. That would allow us to focus on candidates rather than party labels.

What this Republic needs, are employers with a spine. Duty, honor, country used to be more than just words. For many, I don't think they have a real clue what that means.

The parties are merely a symptom of the root problem. The majority of people now either don't vote, play the ignorant partisan football games, or play the lesser of two evils game hoping they don't step in more dog crap. What would another party do? This Republic is in the crapper, because of pathetic spineless political coward (as a whole) employers.

What he actually said is that there's no point to running in a third party as the Democrat and Republican duopoly makes it all but impossible for a third party to do anything substantial.

Even the leader of the Alaskan Independence Party encouraged Sarah Palin to run as a Republican because its the only way to actually get things done. Either be a Republican or Democrat. You are right.

The greens run as dems and the libertarians run as Republicans.

Conservatives have screwed the Republican party up so bad, instead of "fixing" it, they want to "cut and run".

There is a problem. They don't understand it was the "anti science", "anti everybody", "anti reason" that broke the party. They can go somewhere else and start over, but it will also be a disaster.

A "failed" philosophy only leads to even more "fail".

See? This is why shitheads like you are largely ignored...(This post notwithstanding, and addressed)...

It's ALL you have...I am NOT a Ron Paul fan. THIS is known. But throughout this thread *I* have been asking questions as to educate myself as to dispell some preconceived notions of Ron Paul.

Live and learn RW. And BTW as to Congressional Healthcare (another thread? ) I think needs your attention. *I* took you to task, and YOU have yet to answer...

NEED HELP?

Strange you haven't answered that one, isn't it?

I wish there were more Ron Paul's and less Sarah Palin's in the GOP.
Ironically enough, Sarah Palin was on Ron Paul's list of VP choices.

I guess even the "great ones" can make some huge mistakes every now and again.

Palin continues to be a force to be Reckoned with,m thus the attacks on her. Oddly enough her book was a best seller before publishing...and THUS the attacks upon her.
