Because of that mandate, some businessmen invested in ethanol manufacturing. And that sector is now a part of our infrastructure. This means they will fight tooth and nail to keep their federally mandated supply chain intact.

Obama is triangulating. What will get him more votes? Preserving Bush's ethanol mandate or not preserving it.

Apparently he has decided keeping the ethanol special interest group happy is more beneficial to him, just like it was for Bush.

The drought we're currently suffering has led beef producers to sell their herds off early in an attempt to avoid the expense of feeding with skyrocketing grain prices.
This was set to result in lower beef prices as the market becomes saturated in product. Obama's actions are designed to keep those prices up and keep Americans struggling for life's very necessities.

This is nothing more than yet another Alinsky/Cloward-Piven attempt by the domestic threat in chief to keep the poor and middle class pissed off and struggling.

If this is the worst drought in 50 years, how could the drought of 2008 be worse? That makes no sense at all.

Did Bush buy up the available supply of meat, poultry and fish to keep consumers from getting low cost food? No. obama is not only maintaining ethanol at the cost of available food, but he is buying up the food supply to keep it out of the hands of consumers.

No. Taxpayers won't save money because taxpayers aren't getting the food that they would have bought anyway. The government is getting the food, which they will keep from the taxpayers to dole out at a later date to whoever they deem a worthy receipient.
