Did Jesus reveal the name of the anti-Christ?

Did Jesus reveal the name of the anti-Christ?

The greatest clue as to how to identify the antichrist is found in Isa 14:12-14

Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer,... 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, ...I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation 14 ...I will be like the most High.

There is plenty of evidence in the Bible indicating that the antichrist is an imitator of Christ in almost every aspect, one that aims to take the place of Christ here on earth.

It seems the office of the pope (the spirit behind the position) is a good fit as the fulfillment of prophecies describing the usurper and imitator of Christ.

If the antichrist imitates Christ as Isa 14:13 indicates, he will be easy to identify because:

1. He will be the one claiming to be the head of the Church, the one that sits on top of the congregation (the Church).

2. He will be the one claiming to be the rock of foundation of the Church.

3. He will be the one claiming to be the High Priest of the Church.

4. Expect the antichrist to have a priesthood with no genealogies (Heb 7:1-3).

5. Since Jesus is the light of the world and a messenger of God, expect antichrist to come as a messenger of God or an angel of light, see 2Cor 11:13-15; 2Th 2:3 and Joh 17:12; Joh 6:70; Mat 16:23.

6. If the antichrist truly wants to be like Christ, he will be someone like Christ, known for having no desire of women. See Lev 15:16; Dan 11:37 and 1Tim 4:1-3.

7. Like Jesus (see Mat 26:55), antichrist will sit in the temple of God teaching as God, the only difference is that antichrist will show himself (the world will not notice this) that he is god. See 2Th 2:4. Sitting on the temple of God (the Church is the body) is claiming to be the head of the Church as Isaiah prophesied (Isa 14:13). See Mat 8:20 where Jesus (the head) is looking for a place to sit or rest his head (the place where his head rests is the Church). The pope claims to be like God, infallible when he talks while sitting on the chair of Peter in the Temple of God in the Vatican, Rome. Google “infallible ex catedra”. Satan tried that very approach in Matthew 16:20-23 when he tried to be number one through the chair of Peter.

8. Like Jesus, the antichrist will have a Church too, and his Church will be represented by a city that sits on 7 hills like Jerusalem. Rome also sits on 7 hills. The Church of Jesus is called the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:2,9,10).

9. Since Jesus is the greatest religious leader this planet has ever seen, expect antichrist to be recognized by the world as the greatest religious leader. Ask Guiness Book of World Records who he is.

10. Since Jesus started his political career (as King) on Palm Sunday and was killed 4 days later (accomplishing very little politically), expect antichrist to come as a little horn (a king from a small country). Read Luke 19 and John 6:15. Ask Guiness Book of World Records who is the smallest king or political leader of the world, that is a great clue. But this little horn is a man that has eyes and a mouth (Dan 7:8). The pope Boniface VIII (the one with the greatest power) was accused by his cardinals as being “nothing but eyes and a tongue”.

11. Since Jesus did not come as your normal, typical King, expect antichrist to come as a king that is different from all other kings (see Dan 7:20,24).

11. Since God removed 3 kings after he showed up with signs and wonders when Israel entered the promised land, expect antichrist to remove 3 kings by the roots when he shows up (Dan 7:8,24). Google “Heruli Ostrogoths Vandals”.

12. Since God started a calendar twice, when he delivered the Old Testament (Exo 12:2) and the New Testament (Dan 2:21), expect antichrist to imitate Christ by thinking of changing the times (Dan 7:25). Two popes have changed the calendar. Google “Gregorian calendar”.

13. Since Jesus showed up in Israel 483 Jewish years from the commandment to restore Jerusalem, expect antichrist to do the same, 483 years after the commandment to restore the New Jerusalem, the Church (think 95 thesis). He already did it, google “30 Dec 1993 Israel”. See Dan 9:25; Luk 19; Joh 6:15; Neh 2; Zec 9:9).

14. Since Jesus is known as a holy man, expect antichrist to be called “His Holiness”. See Rev 15:4.

15. Since Jesus died and resurrected from the dead, expect antichrist to imitate that by supposedly receiving a mortal wound that is healed (Rev 13:3). Google 13 May 1981.

16. After Jesus resurrected from the dead, many were amazed by it and became believers. In like manner, expect the world to wonder after the antichrist (the beast) after his mortal wound is healed (Rev 13:3).

17. Since Jesus claimed to be one with God the Father, expect the antichrist to be called “Holy Father”. See Joh 17:11; Isa 9:6; & Joh 14:8-9.

18. Since Jesus was born in Israel (God’s elect), expect antichrist to come from within the Church of God (1 John 2:18-19).

19. Since Jesus brought us new laws (see Heb 7:12 and Joh 13:34), expect antichrist to change the laws (Dan 7:25).

20. Since Jesus will reign for 1,000 years, expect antichrist to do the same. Google “dark ages”, from 13 May 495 to 31 Oct 1517.

21. Since Jesus will come on a white horse, expect antichrist to arrive on a white horse too (Google ”pope Alexander white horse”).

22. Since Jesus already arrived on a donkey, expect antichrist to do the same. Google “pope Celestine riding coronation”.

23. Just like Jesus came out of the water (Mat 3:16), expect antichrist as a character that comes out of the water (Rev 13:1-2). Google images “pope shells”; or google “dagon hat Babylon”.

24. Since crowns will be given to Jesus (Rev 14:14; Rev 19:12), expect a crown to be given to antichrist (Rev 6:2). Google images “tiara”.

25. Since Jesus has authority to generate doctrine, expect antichrist to claim the same power.

26. Since Jesus has an army that he did not use (see Mat 26:53), expect antichrist to imitate that and have an army that he does not use in battle. Google images “swiss guard pope”.

27. Imitating Jesus Christ who has converts from every nation, people and tongues (Rev 7:9), expect the antichrist to accomplish the same (Rev 13:8).

28. Since Jesus sent the Holy Spirit after he was glorified (Joh 7:37-39), expect the false prophet to arrive after antichrist is revealed and glorified (Rev 13:12).

29. Since Jesus is the one that is worthy to open the 7 seals, expect antichrist to claim to have the 7 seals (google “Pope Boniface VIII seven seals”. (Rev 5:5-9). See page 91 from the Book, the Bad Popes, by E.R. Chamberlin.

30. Since Jesus sealed his people on the forehead (Rev 7:3 & Rev 9:4), expect antichrist to seal his people with a mark on the forehead (think ash Wednesday). See Rev 14:9 & Rev 20:4.

31. Since Jesus did nothing of himself but used the power of the Holy Spirit to work miracles (see John 5:19,30 and Mat 12:28), expect the antichrist to be like that, using the anti-spirit (the false prophet) to work the miracles (Rev 13:13).

32. Since Christ has one that wants to take his place and that one is called anti-Christ, expect antichrist to have someone that wants to take his place too and be called similarly. Google antipopes.

33. Webster defines "vicar" as: "Substitute or someone that takes the place of another". Look up the Webster definition for "Vicar of Christ", ...guess who's there ?

There are many other prophecies that describe the antichrist that have nothing to do with imitating Christ. For example the number 666, the one that states that he opposes God, persecutes God’s people, speaks blasphemies, denies the Father and the Son, denies that Christ came in the flesh, etc., that the pope (some way or another) fulfills faithfully.

Peace !
