Did anyone try to offer elections to Syria? I know Gadaffi did, but US rejected

I distinctly remember Gadaffi spokesperson asking for UN monitored elections in Libya to end the standoff during NATO/Zionist bombardment of that small country, but US (Obama and scum) didn't even respond to that, nor did the zionist establishment media air the video. so now these poor blood donors on the streets of Syria... same question I have to ask: did anyone suggest to Assad UN monitored elections to settle the dispute? because I have not heard any such offer, all I keep seing is cry babies, and it's hard to believe anything on the media, having seen them so often deceiving people. Also in Iraq, I distinctly remember how US excluded a popular Al Saddr cleric from participating in "free" elections. so CNNFoxNews type kooks, save your drama, because decent people like me will never buy your shit.
