Did anyone here play casino? How lucky were you?

I'm just really curious about how high your chances are to win there. Or are casinos mostly a specifc type of scam?

Good question. Yes, casinos ARE a scam, but not quite for the reason you think. They do have the odds in their favor, but that isn't how they get you. When you win a small amount, your brain is flooded with reward chemicals, giving you a "high" and making you feel good. You then think that you can win, so you start spending more money in the hopes of getting that good feeling again, and in so doing, you give back to the casino more money than you won.

However...........................there is a way around it and you can still have a good time. Figure out a budget of how much money you are willing to lose, and don't go past that amount. Also, when you win something, you put the money you just won back into the amount you are willing to lose. If you have won more than you are willing to lose, take the excess and put it aside and DON'T TOUCH IT UNTIL YOU LEAVE. When you have lost the amount of money you budgeted for, LEAVE THE CASINO AND GO HOME.

That is how you visit a casino, and also the thing to watch out for. Did you know that many casinos pump extra oxygen in the air to keep you sitting at the tables gambling?
You have given an excelent stratagy to have fun at a casino and not lose your ass! The professional gambler can make money at a casino mainly on the poker and black jck tables. There are very few people on the face of the planet that can expect to win though. As you have pointed out for the rest of the world it is entertainment. Your stratigy is a good one for that! Do what you said and you will never lose your ass and every once in a while you will come home with more money than you left with. For the more advanced gambler here is some advice. When the pitt boss shows up at your table and you think it is becasue of you. Just leave! The rules are about to change or worse you can make the to good to play list. All that ime you spent learning odds, rules and counting have just gone up in smoke!

Unless you're a card counter, for every dollar you bet, you will get back about 95 cents.

I rarely lose, but I had a dealer as an uncle growing up so when most were learning go fish, I was learning Black Jack.

I say that, but then I only play 2 or 3 times a year.

Best advice. NEVER DRINK WHILE PLAYING! Free drinks are free for a reason.

This is me, I suck at it unless it's Vegas and I am betting on football games.
