So did anyone else notice that Obama and the Dems for 10 years said the Bush Tax Cuts were only for the Rich, and did nothing for our Economy, But now that they might all expire all of the sudden they are saying the bottom 98% would be devastated if the Bush tax cuts that were only for the Rich Are allowed to Expire.

Just sayin.

lol

This is why I have so little respect for die Hard Liberals in life and on this Board. They are so hypocritical, so intellectually Dishonest. Which is it Hacks, Were the Bush tax cuts only for the Rich, and not good for our Economy? Or were they for everyone, and even the lower Brackets benefited from them?

Very good point you have just ended the debate since those tax cuts did nothing for the poor and middle class and only helped the rich no reason not to let them all expire well done.:clap2::clap2::clap2:

Not sure anyone is using such apocalyptic language on the left but tax cuts are stimulative if that money gets spent right away on TVs, refrigerators, restaurants, food and gas, it's like throwing it in the trash if it gets hoarded by a billionaire. Is this concept too complicated?

What do you think they do...stuff the money in their mattress?...bury it in mason jars behind the pool house?

Of course not.

At a minimum it is put on deposit and lent out by banks.

At a maximum it is invested as venture capital into new businesses that buy brick lumber land equipment, hire contractors, plumbers, architects, laborers, surveyors, heavy equipment operators, truckers, electricians, decorators, crane operators, painters...and that's just to build or renovate...then the buy lots of new equipment, hire employees, purchase inventory, subcontract logistics, warehouse and contract transportation....

That's the reason I've been saying let them all expire, it will out Maobama and the commiecrats for the liars they are. The republicans can use the same line the commies have been, they didn't raise taxes, the rates were only temporary, because the dems refused to make them permanent. Just put the blame where it actually belongs.

How many private sector jobs did the Bush tax cuts create during his administration? Let me help you...

Yep, we let them expire and we'll see how many they saved, won't we? Remember the standard is created or saved now.

Looks like another one who is unaware of that giant sucking sound of money being hoarded and hidden by America's wealthy and the big banks keeping vast amounts locked up in reserve rather than lending it out. These people do not need you to defend them from the bad old socialists, they have trillions in the Caymans to sooth their fragile feelings.

The tax cuts benefited everyone at the expense of bigger federal deficits. That being said, the wealthy benefited the most. The only reason they are only pushing to raise taxes on the wealthy is that the middle class and lower income earners have taken a much bigger hit financially than the wealthy. Once the economy gets moving again and wages begin to rise, I would expect that we would see the rest of the tax cuts rescinded also. While raising taxes on just the wealthy will not bring in massive amounts of revenue, it is a start in the right direction to getting us on a better balance sheet.

Not when your dear leader Maobama is proposing triple that in new spending. He's just looking for more cash to blow on his peeps.

Trouble is that an awful lot of that money is being invested overseas.

The dem position leading up to the initial sunset was to let the cuts on the top bracket lapse and to keep the others in place.

So, no, I hadn't noticed it.

The intellectually dishonest hack is you, Chuck.

The fact is the middle class needs a tax cut or we must raise taxes on the rich or both. Currently we are subsidizing the rich. The government has set up an uneven playing field by taxing the rich less than the middle class.

- KissMy (middle class job creator) produces widgets & gets taxed at 28%.
- Mitt Romney (entitled rich pussy) produces widgets & gets taxed at 13%.
Now Romney can produce widgets & sell them for profit cheaper than KissMy. KissMy middle class ass goes under & becomes KissMy poor broke ass. Romney acquires KissMy widgets from bankruptsy for a fire-sale price of 10 cents on the dollar. He has taken over the assets & market thus has more tax revenue but still lower tax rates enabling him to unfairly compete & destroy another middle class job creator.

You probably thought that made sense when you posted it. It doesnt....especially given the original context of my post.

But since you seem to be curious, I "noticed" when they were passed a decade ago. 2003 was the year I went from being a Bush supporter to the anti-Bush when he started a land war in Iraq and slashed taxes at home. Both are/were ginormous follies.

It's sad that it is now wrong to save your money and the American thing to do is spend and charge and live payday to payday and if you have a problem ask the government to save you. Is that now the American way?

I don't want to piss on your Cornflakes, but I started a thread earlier this week on this topic.

It turned into a pissing contest about who has the right to rent to Section 8 and just about every lib said they refuse to rent to those friggen freeloaders.

Compassionate Democrats???

My hairy ballsack.
