Did America go from exceptional to moochers overnight?

Best case scenario=Obama gets impeached,Biden takes over a President and the old fool starts a war with Israel,Hillery become VP,Biden commits suicide and Buba Clinton returns in 2016. Monica LaBlowjob becomes Secretary of State,Mexico becomes the 52 state after Israel surrenders and become the 51st,followed by Afghanistan,Iraq and Iran,Pôrto Rico and Canada and Obama returns with Marco Rubio to run in 2020 saying he was thinking ahead and predicting the future of 57 states back in 2008;and is ready for world domination by incorporating the US,S and central America,Asia,Russia and all of Europe in the new Republic of Ameri/Euro/Asia;all with Obamacare, free everything for all nonwhites while the few remaining white people are segregated onto reservations as museum exhibits to be observed as extinct species from America's ancient past.

My oh my... that's an ambitious agenda!

Its all about REDISTRIBUTION

To whomever some bureaucrat at the time believes deserves it the most..............Its all soooooo communally uplifting

The easiest way to mess with the redistributors is to not produce! A barter economy works very well in the face of confiscatory taxes.

America has been slipping into being a leech country for quite awhle. That was the whole point of third world immigration. Increase the number of leeches until there are more leeches than hosts.

You ARE talking about corporations and the wealthy, yes? They get FAR more freebies than the poor and working class could ever dream of - and they legislate these freebies to themselves to keep it legal and EASY. Don't you love that a corporation can give $300 million to a superpac, but bitch and moan that their over-worked staff want a 2% raise on their measly salaries - or that they might pay 3% more in taxes a year (well, most don't pay taxes, but...)? Oh the agony!!! You want to know why income and standard of living is declining in this country? Well, you need look no further than the greed, graft and cronyism of the private sector. That sits SQUARELY on their shoulders. Period. That's what happens when nothing matters but higher and higher short-term profits. Citizens Untied wasn't such the boon you thought it would be, eh corporatists? Until we get money out of government and stop allowing corporations to call all the shots legislatively, this country will never fully recover. We need to give workers back some leverage.

Did America go from exceptional (No) to moochers (no again) overnight?

But America appears to be going from a nation divided by social issues to a nation divided even more than it already was, by class.

Four states just informed this nation that the gay marriage issue is NOT going to be the issue that the GOP and DNC can battle about.

Two states that just legalized marihjuana put the Federal government on notice that the war on drugs is winding down, too.

Slowly but surely the state voters are informing the FEDERAL MASTERS that the issues that the FEDERAL government needs to pay attention to are NOT social issues like guns, gays and GOD.

Something definitely changed, alright, but it wasn't American exceptionalism.

You think the feds would look the other way if states start deciding against abortion?

They already do. Take my home state of Georgia, for example. I am from Athens, and nowhere in my county or surrounding counties could you get one. You have to go to Atlanta - that was the ONLY place with clinics (at least when I lived there). Now, there are planned parenthoods in most, if not all, GA counties, so to say that they are nothing but abortion providers is completely false, correct? Can you at least admit to that - that the majority of their services rendered in Georgia are non-abortion related? Abortions nationwide are only 3% of services rendered for PP and the majority of those are referrals to clinics that offer the service.

No one forces a town, state or county to have abortion clinics. Many doctors know how to do them, but they don't offer the service. No one is forcing anyone to do anything.

It hasnt happened over night. In fact, it's been in the works since the days of Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson. They interjected the progressive corruption in both parties.

My observation was only analgous within the context of states rights which should have the rights as editec suggested. I wasn't referring to the specifics at all.

Federal law states that marijuana is illegal. CO, WA voted to make it legal. I agree with the states
Federal law states that abortion is legal. If a state voted to make it against state law would we see the same endorsement of states rights ie in reference to marijuana?

America has, with this election, turned a corner and it's been decades in the making as our demographics have evolved. Dependency on government has been ingrained in the minds of generations now, and it has come to fruition at the ballot box. So, we'll now see a continued and institutional lowering of standards, far more government, and a generally lower standard of living going forward. The American Left has done a magnificent job, they've been patient and consistent, and now their efforts are bearing fruit.

The American Right has been busy scoffing at the Left, not taking it seriously, shouting simplistic slogans, thumping its chest, not paying attention, and especially ignoring minorities while their population grew and the Left was carefully attending to them. And just to top it off, it has now gone absolutist, as if to drive the final nail in the coffin. So, tough shit, this is what you get.

So now, the nature of the lower standard of living is the question. It's not like we're heading back to the Stone Age, we'll just see a top end brought down significantly amid artificial, government-imposed "fairness". The question going forward will be how this new environment will retard entrepreneurship, progress and our quality of life, if at all.

Identity Politics wins, it is what it is, now we'll see what happens. Maybe it won't be so bad.

My oh my!

With THIS election......turned the corner. Lower standards of living due to greater dependence on government is on the way. Just like .....................!

One of the problems that intelligent people often have is a burning desire to hear themselves talk ( or see themselves write ). It sometimes leads us to posts like this. An apparently well thought-out thesis on what has happened and what is to come.

Except for this:

The question going forward will be how this new environment will retard entrepreneurship, progress and our quality of life, if at all.

In other words....everything you just said, according to you, might be meaningless.

Thanks so much.

Yeah, I have to admit I don't know what the future holds. I wish I did, but I don't.

But, thank goodness, we have brilliant, honest, all-knowing, open-minded people like you around to tell us what's what!

Phew!

If you would have asked any Republican yesterday morning they would have said that America is an exceptional country. Today however Republicans are complaining that half the country voted for Obama because they just wanted free stuff. So, did America go from exceptional to moochers overnight, or is America only exceptional when they vote who you want into office?

The sooner you accept the GOP had an inferior candidate (which is really saying something when you consider who won) and that the GOP lost because it has gone batshit insane, the more quickly you will wake up and eject the psychos in control of the party and return to your principles and superior, winning ideas.

Stop looking for scapegoats and look in the mirror if you want to know whose fault it is. The first step to solving a problem is admitting you have one.

There's a metric shit ton of piss drinking parrots infecting the Party. Time to start kicking ass and taking names.

We're all moochers and freeloaders cuz Mitt said so.

You're moochers and freeloaders because that's what you are. That's why people vote Democrat - to get free stuff.

This from a freeloading rw who wants to keep the free health care he has now.

Get off your butt, buy your own health care insurance and quit depending on the libs to pay your emergency room bills.

I'm here to chew bubblegum and kick ass...
And I'm all out of bubblegum.

Sure they do.

While I'm sure there are some who refuse to do abortions, there are many who do but just don't make a lot of noise about it.

In the more backward parts of the US, its a good way to get shot.

No one is forcing anyone to do anything.

Not true and its part of why the R lost so big. They are indeed trying to force their fundie beliefs on the rest of us. What the pubpots want is huge government that controls the lives of the people.

No, it has taken 80+ years for it to come to this point. Don;t expect it to get better until it breaks either. Really, any liberty lover should be happy Obama won. He's going to get us to the breaking point faster than the other guy would have.

Kinda hard to compete with Santa Claus. Within one more year there will be more people on food stamps and welfare than those paying taxes. Greed overcoming and killing the golden goose.
A good case in point. is Obama made one photo op in the destroyed Eastern Shore region just to bamboozle the people. These people were abandoned as soon as he got on the plane. This is Obama's Katrina and he has created it, just as he abandoned the four killed in Benghazi, and has been involved in Fast & Furious. Obama can thank the MSM for their running interference for him. We can see what the MSM did to Bush in comparison.
Speaking of Bush.

Who will Obama blame for the mess he inherits on January 21 2013?

I don't think it will work out that way. Co-dependence is becoming way too deeply ingrained. I am not so confident the American people will turn it around in time. Especially since the one party which could have helped turn it around has gotten rabies.

It's not an entitlement attitude, brainwashed idiots, it's the aftermath of the SECOND Pub World Great Depression. And has nothing to do with CRA and Fannie and Freddie- F+F's share went from 75% to 25% while corrupt Pubs and cronies went wild. Change the channel- you are duped by greedy, idiotic mega rich Pubs. So dumb....

Yeah, it did. Too many dumbasses in this country didn't understand what American Exceptionalism actually meant. This country was the "exception" to the previous rule of dictatorial forms of government. We believed that We The People could rule ourselves. And we set up a system whereby we could do that in a democratic way but still not trample the inherent rights of the individual citizen. Without protecting those individual rights though, democracy is just another form of tyrannywith the 51% abrogating the rights of the 49%.

So yeah... as Mac said, the left has been patient and consistent in their efforts to mitigate those rights in order to create their collectivist utopia. Their efforts have finally paid off, and we now live like any socialist European state, ruled by the whims of the majority with lip-service offered to our "rights" and drowning in debt.

Congrats. You folks have finally destroyed "American Exceptionalism", useful idiots in service to your central planning betters. Good job. :eusa_clap:
