Proof that it took the Republican Governor appointing an Emergency Manager to get Detroit turning around.

Proof that it took the citizens of Detroit electing a white Mayor to start the city turning around.

Lots of contentious arguments can be made about this.

DETROIT, MI - Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan was named among Pope Francis, Bill and Melinda Gates and Mark Zuckerberg as one of the "world's greatest leaders."

Duggan, who's sharing the 20th spot on the list with former Detroit Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr, is the only U.S. elected official on the second-annual Fortune Magazine list.

Fortune recognized Duggan and Orr for their handling of "the nation's largest-ever municipal bankruptcy (that) could have been a disaster."
