Details about Obama's Health Care Plan

The left is busily wiping their butts with most of the constitution now, what on earth would make you think that would stop them if they thought they could get away with it.

The current system has it problems but they are almost all due to the fact that since Medicare was first enacted the system has increasingly been tweaked by the courts and trial lawyers, various government bureaucrats at various levels of government and assorted politicians and now the chief beneficiaries of the system aren't care givers and patients they are of course politicians trial lawyers and bureaucrats.

And the Obama administration's idea of how to fix it is to make it benefit the same power hungry mind numbed idiots who screwed it up in the first place.

amen!!!!!

This is the same ole same ole gift horse to the well LOBBIED Insurance Industry....I've come to believe.... :(

We will get a government alternative to private health care in this coming bill. But not really much else. That is a good start, however.

The Reps holding up this bill represent 4% of the people of America, and also represent some of the poorest districts in the nation. 72% of Americans, and 56% of physcians would llike to see a single payer system enacted. But, the big Pharma and the Health Care corps spending 1.4 millon dollars a day to prevent that, the will of the people will once more bow to Mammon.

In the meantime, every lie possible will be put out there to prevent even the minimal reform of the travesty of our present Health Care System.

Hey KMAN...what would you say if I posted "evidence" from Moveon.org?

Liberty Counsel... a.k.a. ...right wing "christian" fascists...

We ALREADY have this for Medicare & Medicaid and MOST private insurers!!! This electronic billing has been the norm for nearly all health care for years! How do you think your pharmacist knows when you wait for a new prescription whether it is covered or not & how much your co-pay will be? Did you think they snail-mailed to & fro first? That's why this bill is so huge, even the most basic steps in the process have to spelled out, so then there is more for foolish people to question. Don't even get me started on the GOVERMENT denying care... I can get not 1 but 2! gastric bypass procedures covered for a MEDICAID patient (goverment socialist health care) but my private insured patient who (I was sure) needed a cardiac stress test was denied for the test by private for-profit insurance. Well, guess what, he went into the ER Thursday with chest pain, it will cost his insurance more now than if they'd let me get him the tests. IDIOTS! No wonder they are so afraid of government competition. Medicare programs provide more for less, with almost NO hassle & less than a third wasted dollars to administration.

Does anyone think the government doesn't have access to your bank account?
Cons thought it was just fine when Bush was monitoring their phone calls.

And liberal idiots that condemned Bush for doing it are ok with Obama doing it ........:eusa_whistle:

Sure thing Nancy Pelosi ...........

I sure would like to see your link to these stats. Maybe Huffinton Post?

The only reason why I ask is, number one...it comes from you Old Rocks...someone who I just don't trust with real facts.
Second I did my own research and came away with some different facts that probably aren't as bias as your Old Rocks.
http://www.gallup.com/poll/121664/majority-favors-healthcare-reform-this-year.aspx

A Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll this week showed that 46 percent disapproved of Obama’s handling of health care reform, while 41 percent approved.

A Rasmussen poll last week showed worse numbers, with 53 percent opposing the Obama-backed plan. That is up from 45 percent opposed in June.

Oh...just one more for you to chew on if you can read Old Rocks.

Go ahead Old Rocks and spin it....while you spin on it.

What don't you understand about ELECTRONIC BILLING! Have you never know anyone who works in healthcare? Or who has private insurance & gets an EOB? (That stands for "explanation of benefits" not some scary socialist plot, for you conspiracy buffs). To those of you who think the present for-profit health ibnsurance is great, listen, I have decent private insurance now, through my husband's employer. We both have worked since we were teens (I detasseled corn at 13, not fun but yes, some american kids do work in the fields too!) We have paid taxes all our lives. But, if my husband loses his job (was just cut from 40+ hours a week to 32 due to economy) we won't have health insurance. COBRA is expensive, how can we pay with less money? He has diabetes, hypertension & high cholesterol. No private insurance stands to make a profit insuring him! I work in a small family practice, our employer offers no health insurance. I would be bankrupted by even one major surgery, while individuals who NEVER paid taxes into the system can get every dollar paid for because of Medicaid that I have paid taxes to provide. The private, for-profit insurance companies insure the healthy & the wealthy, while average american taxpayers pay for the poor & disabled but can't get coverage themselves. How is that fair? If a middle-class family has a son or daughter who is no longer on the parent's insurance & hasn't yet been able to get their own insurance, needs health care for something important they are out of luck unless the girl gets pregnant or either of them can get elected to congress (or go to jail I guess). We do also pay for health care for congressman & criminals!

How many of you want the government to have access to your bank account??? Just reply yes or no...

No, but I hate to tell you this, the government already has access to your bank account and can get in to take a look anytime they wish to do so. If you owe them back taxes, they can even put a lien on the account.

That right...anytime they want. Medicaid can take everything if they want too. Are we still free?

Excuse my clumsy typing! I see I hit the wrong keys a few times! Just want to add there is a huge battle for the private insurers to keep their "cash cow". Administration & profit for the insurance industry is over 30%, while Medicare is less than 10% so they know they can't compete . Since Illinois has partially privatized Medicaid, I have seen a company called McKesson phone public aid recipients to have an RN complete a lengthy survey about their health care issues, medications prescribed & their plan of care. We then are sent a 7-8 page summary of the telephone counseling session. I'm sure this is a very costly process, with the RN wages/benefits involved. And these health needs are already addressed at each office visit. But I was open-minded to this until I saw there seemed to be no benefit to the patient at all. Some of them barely remembered the phone calls, & many others who might need the review the most didn't have phones anyway. We already have site reviews for Medicaid just like for the private insurance (hope you all know your insurance company has always had the right to come into your Dr's office & request your records to review for "Quality Assurance" (ie. did we order any test/meds which cost too much to ensure a healthy profit) So all of these health insurance companies try to make inroads into further areas to profit. While they spend certainly excess dollars on corporate Drs & nurses & even just "desk jockeys" to try to deny health care, it results in BIG money for the CEOs, as when United Healthcare paid its CEO a "bonus" of I believe $35 MILLION in 2005...that would have paid for a lot of needed health care, or allowed for lower premiums.

I'd like to meet the idiots that responds with a "yes".

I have a hunch as to who those idiots may be. I hope I'm not dissappointed.

The same idiots probably question in their mind if Obama was the correct choice for becoming our president but would never say it out loud. They would still put that spin on it and keep blaming Bush.

:confused:Marin, why must health insurance stop ELECTRONIC BILLING? Have you told your doctor, pharmacist, hospital & insurance company that they are idiots? Or do you pay cash for all health care?

First of all, I have good health insurance coverage which doesn't require me depending on other taxpayers to care for my health. And where in my post do I say health insurance should stop electronic billing?

The idiots I'm referring to are the ones who voted for Obama and who are in favor of his universal healthcare.

Have you always been this stupid?

The Billing is from the hospital/physician office/pharmacy to/from the insurance comany...NOT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!!! OK? STOP WORRYING ABOUT THIS! DONE THIS WAY FOR YEARS NOW! By the miracle of the Internet...which we are on right now without anyone having their precious bank account raided, I hope! Unless someone here is a lot smarter with computers than I am!! If so, PLEASE email me some money from the politician of your choice to help my lost 401k, I'm just another day older & deeper in debt!:clap2:

If you get your healthcare paid for in portion from your employment, YOU MOST CERTAINLY ARE SUBSIDIZED by the American tax payer, for your health Insurance, via tax breaks for the employers portion.

This goes deeper than pastry in a pie.

The "yes or no" question referred to the wording in the bill SPECIFICALLY about electronic billing.
So if your friend, neighbor, relative loses his job & loses health insurance you don't care? If thats "smart" I'd rather be stupid.
