Dems to voters: You may hate us, but GOP is worse

WASHINGTON – With just six weeks to avoid a possible election catastrophe, Democrats are trying to limit the damage with a closing argument that's more plea than platform: We know you voters are furious with us, but just let us explain why the Republicans would be worse.

lmao...dems are pitiful

first its...we're not bush...and now its we're bad, but we're better than the gop

The problem with the Democrats is they need to have some faith in their coalitions.

Republicans are 90% white and mostly Christian, so they are one giant group which marches in lockstep.

Democrats are everyone else and the enormous group of white people hammering them everyday causes them to lose confidence. Especially when they feel they haven't cleaned up the Republican fucked up economy fast enough.

What are Republicans going to do to fix it? Adding another trillion dollars to the deficit so millionaires and billionaires could get another tax break isn't going to do it.

I know, we will be able to tell from Republican ideas. Here let me list them in order of importance:

They've been using that tactic for 10 years. It was "Yeah....we suck royally but they suck even more".

Problem is they can't say that because they've been exposed. It's too late. The cat's out of the bag.

I expect they'll try to start a semi-goatfuck or a catfight between Republicans and just step back and let them destroy each other.

Then they'll try to act like all of the crap they've done the past 2 years never happened.

Just remember this folks. It's better to elect somebody that has been trashed to hell and back that refuses to raise your taxes and wants to stop the Dems from bankrupting us then electing somebody that is a rubber stamp for Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Barrack Obama.

LOL....according to the great lefty hack rdean....democrats are not white, as they are everyone ELSE

what a racist, to knock down a party based solely on skin color....

notice rdean doesn't bash the black caucus for being 100% black....but when you're 90% white, you're fucking evil

Dont give in to rdeans race baiting.

Democrats are running a pathetic campaign. They are putting up weak candadidates. And have a message that we need to spend more in America.

Funny thing is, I was reading about Herbert Hoover earlier, other than the rise in Tarriffs, Obama is doing the exact same thing Hoover did: Spend more and try to regulate business. Except, Obama has taken it to a whole new level.

They will have a hard time making the sale, as they worked hard to get themselves into this fix.

they didn't need to do this to themselves. (And to us, too, for that matter)

Why is it that you fail to fucking understand the concept that the Democratic party is run by the same disgusting ***** that run the Republican party? You WANT Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama to represent you? If so, keep voting for them. I'll keep praying they get smacked in the head with a 2x4.

But until people like you wake up, nothing will ever get solved in this country. Both parties fix the problems created by the other, but they both create more problems than they fix. So we can either continue this perpetual back-and-forth of conservative versus liberal policy, or we can finally work towards a middle ground.

and yet, dems have a higher approval rating than repubs... even with all the screeching from the right

Job Approval Ratings Low for Both Parties in Congress

and of course the right doesn't want anypne tp remember how they screwed up for eight years... they count on people having really short memories.

Congress wasn't in the GOP's hands for 8 years hun.

Neither side seems to have a clear vision about how to move forward.

Lately it seems that way....but when people are making backdoor deals all of the time it's not really clear what's up.

Seems Pelosi forgot to drain the swamp. Instead she restocked it with something worse then the gators that used to infest it.

I believe the Democrats don't have a chance. I expect they will be massively defeated and the reason for it is not what they did but what they didn't do.

The Democrats rode into power on the hopes of millions of energized voters who were angrily outraged by the arrogantly abusive conduct of the elitist Bush Administration. They were led to believe there would be aggressive, retributive change, which necessarily called for Congressional investigations of the crimes that led to the looting of our Treasury, the unlawful invasion of Iraq, the illegal wiretapping that demonstrated contempt for the Constitution and the torturing that disgraced the very name, America. But the Obama Administration, piloted by Harry Reid, a compromising little pipsqueak, and Nancy Pelosi, a millionaire corporatist whore whose first order of business as Speaker was to ensure Bush's immunity, has routinely taken two baby steps forward followed by one giant step backward time and time again and what we've ended up with is a crudely modified extension of the Bush Administration.

The Democrat voters were pissed off. They wanted to go to war, win or lose, with the Republicans who had contemptuously abused them for eight years and derailed the Country. But they got a President, a House and a Senate that had no intention of stepping on any toes and I'm afraid they are about to pay the price for that passive, self-serving inertia. Unfortunately the Nation is going to pay for it as well. Because the Republicans are going to re-take power in the same spirit as the barbarians taking Rome and we probably will end up at war with Iran and/or a full-blown economic depression.

Golly, that just makes one want to run out and vote.

Well, I guess when directly pointing the finger at someone else no longer works, just kind of making a gesture in that direction is all they can do. If they were truly qualified to run a country they would be able to prove it, but their only skill is finding faults in others whether imagined or real.
