The Pledge of Allegiance was written in 1892 by Francis Bellamy (1855-1931), a Baptist minister, a Christian socialist, and the cousin of socialist utopian novelist Edward Bellamy (1850-1898). Also, I think it's a bad thing to hold a person's religion against them. I perfect to kick the ass of the left on issues - it is easy enough to do that - we have no need to use their 'attack the messanger' tactics. If you know your issues and have facts on your side, you can very easily kick the ass of a liberal. They tend not to know much about anything other than healthcare - and half of that they get wrong.

Leave religion out of the argument and stick to issues.

The video shows one Democrat, Brooklyn’s Martin Dilan, trying to join in reciting the Pledge, but he is immediately and forcefully pulled down by two fellow Democrats, Kevin Parker of Brooklyn and Ruth Hassell-Thompson of Westchester.
