That we would also need to take back the White House. Otherwise Obama would veto our attempts.

So heck yes, McConnell said we needed to be sure Obama was not reelected. And if Boehner said it too, then he was also correct.

If Obama had put the money where his mouth was with regards to infrastructure, if he had helped more jobs become shovel ready, if he had made sure his mortgage program was being properly administered, then would have deserved another term. But he didn't. So we did what we could in the 2010 elections but that wasn't enough to undo Obamacare, so duh, our next goal would be to oust Obama in 2012.

One more example of ignorance, didn't any of you people on the right take Civics or U.S. History?

What is ignorant is the way people go around claiming the McConnell said as early as 2008 that his goal was to make Obama a one-term president.

McConnell said that in 2010 ... and only in the context of what Republicans would need to do in order to be able to accomplish the goals of the people who were voting for them in 2010. Getting into office in 2010 was not enough. Clearly we would need a president who would not veto our legislation.

But so many people on the left dismiss this very clear context and even lie about when McConnell made that statement.

I feel free to call it a lie and not an honest mistake we have pointed out the truth multiple times and still people claim he made that statement anywhere between Nov. 2008 and Jan. 2009.



People who can't even get their dates straight, much less pay attention to context, really shouldn't even be posting on a political forum. I guess they're entertaining, but the thought that they're voting is somewhat alarming. Thank goodness the enthusiasm appears to be stronger on the right than on the left and so hopefully we will be able to neutralize some of the ignorant vote.

Phil Gingery is one of my reps, he is a physician, I saw the video that said Obama was going to take over 500 billion from Medicare to get this debacle passed. Gingery and his fellow republicans did everything in their power to keep that from happening. There was only one problem, instead of 500 billion it was over 700 billion. They tried and couldn't stop it.

So explain me how that happened and no jobs bills did. It's all smoke and mirrors, they're politicians they all lie. However Dems spend more time "telling you what you want to hear" than Republicans.

If he had really wanted to hike taxes on the rich, he easily could have done so in his first two years in office.
