Effectively putting private insurer's out of business. The insurance companies CAN'T cover 32 million people, many with pre-existing conditions and do it without raising insurance premiums on everyone else.

Obama care is akin to not having car insurance, totalling the car, then calling up your insurance company, getting insurance and expecting full payment on the totalled car. It's akin to not having home owner's insurance, your house burns to the ground, calling up an insurance agent and signing up, expecting them to pay for a new house. That's how stupid this bill was to begin with.:cuckoo::cuckoo:

Now the dems are worried that insurance premiums will sky-rocket,:cuckoo::cuckoo: of course they will. The people at the top of this Obama care knew it would all the time, they pushed it anyway. This new push to control costs will only put the insurance companies out of business and you will be forced onto a government plan.

Senate Bill Sets a Plan to Regulate Premiums - NYTimes.com

Grace-Marie Turner, president of the Galen Institute, a research center that advocates free-market health policies, said the Democrats’ proposal was unlikely to succeed in lowering insurance costs.

“Capping premiums without recognizing the forces that are driving up costs would be like tightening the lid on a pressure cooker while the heat is being turned up,” Mrs. Turner said.

What a great quote and sooooooooooooooooooooooo true. LOL

WASHINGTON — Fearing that health insurance premiums may shoot up in the next few years, Senate Democrats laid a foundation on Tuesday for federal regulation of rates, four weeks after President Obama signed a law intended to rein in soaring health costs.

As many of us pointed out prior to ObamaCare being passed:

A central feature of the bill is Price Controls, which will do nothing to reduce costs or increase supply - but will drive insurance companies into insolvency and provide a pretext for the Public Option.

    We can put Obama's

"lower the cost of insurance" in the same shit pile as

"no tax raises on anyone making under 200K"

It's no different than when they stole the livelihoods of the car dealerships. Same thing. They are stealing business. No one screamed when they stole the car dealerships now did they?

My town lost one dealership. Ford bought it out and closed it down.
