Dems concentrate attacks on Romney

Guess what?

Newt is going to have to convince RINOs, moderates and independents that he is not aligned with the extreme wing of his party and that he can be trusted te the presidency of the United States.

NO, actually, he really doesn't.

All he has to do is ask the Reagan Question.

"Are you better off than you were four years ago?"

Because you all said the same shit about Reagan in 1980 and how he was too "extreme" and "right wing" and even claimed he was going to blow up the world.

ANd guess what.

We aren't better off than we were four years ago.

If that's all he has....he is in trouble

He will have to wrap the current employment numbers (which are getting better) with GOP positions to scrap social security, Medicare, Obamacare, Major Government departments......all while protecting the 1%

i think Obama keeps bashing the "1%", they are going to start laying people off just to finish him off. This class warfare shit is cyanide, and if Obama wants to drink it, he'll do himself in.

The unemployment numbers are NOT getting better. the November numbers were a joke. 120,000 new jobs compared to 305,000 people just giving up?

Americans want to repeal ObamaCare, and there's no great love of major government departments for anyone but the slugs who work there.

No one is going to lay off people and intentionally hurt their company in a fit of pique.

Here are who the REAL job creators are:

Raise Taxes on Rich to Reward True Job Creators: Nick Hanauer - Bloomberg

The Republican bullshit that the wealthy are the job creators is just that, bullshit.

Obviously, you have no idea how the real world works...

I'm expecting massive layoffs next year, both due to the election and due to the impending European Collapse. Then bye-bye, Barry Hussein.

Obviously.

No, they'll lay them off in order to acheive a political change and get a friendly government in terms of regulations and repealing ObamaCare.

Obama's indicated he isn't going to stay bought any longer, so he's gotta go.
No they won't. Business people aren't idiots.

Actually, most of the ones I've worked for are...

Come on, there's a reason why Dilbert Comics are so popular. We've all worked in that office, and we've all had that pointy-haird boss.

But to the point, laying people off is actually kind of the way of the world now. If you can buy a machine or simply a process, or outsource a supplier, you do that.

Company I work for has gone from 280 people in 2008 to about 150 now. My department has gone from 10 to 6. We've fired some people, but mostly, we just haven't replaced folks when they left.

Headcount is the easiest cost to control.

And NONE of those people were layed off in a fit of pique.

The pointy-haired dude is middle management, not the guy that decides on the operations of the company.

You should quit basing your beliefs on cartoons.

No one said it was going to be a fit of pique. This is a stupid term you use.

It's going to be a completely calculated move to get rid of a socialist. Create just enough misery to get rid of him and get a Republican who will be friendly to them.

Because they know that ObamaCare if fully implemented will cost them a lot more than any temporary disruption a 5% employee reduction would.

Now, of course, the thing is, I drive by the strip malls where half the stores are vacant, and realize that the other major engine of jobs- small businesses, aren't there, either. Another major part of the problem you refuse to see.

so all the business people you know in chicago are letting their businesses lose sales/not hiring to make a political statement?

They don't have to lose sales. that's the point, dummy.

We fired a guy from my department back in September. But he was kind of a useless slug, so it was no great loss. We redistributed his work and didn't miss a beat.

I know that this is a hard concept for you to have, but if you tell a company, "You have to lose one warm body from each department", they will find the least useful person and not miss a beat. Everyone else will be motivated to work a little harder so they don't get considered the "most useless person" the next time a cut has to be made.

This is the concept that you liberals don't understand. If Obama gets re-elected, they probably figure they are going to have to fire those people anyway, because ObamaCare will increase their expenses. So why not bite the bullet now?
