    I'm still pissed about bailing out the airlines and now these idiots are trying to garner support with this....raaaaaa. I would LOVE one good independent candidate. maybe I should run.

    I agree... the impact on the beef industry in the short term, I imagine, will be significant. In the long term, though, Americans aren't going to stop eating meat, and the scare will die down after a few months. Unless every farm and slaughterhouse in America was threatened with bankruptcy, I don't see why there would be a reason to "bail out" the industry. Hell, for that matter, I don't know why we are handing out farming subsidies in the first place!!!

    Yeah. I also have an issue with farm subsidies. However,
    I hate to see our beef industry hurt. So I encourage
    everyone to continue to buy beef they know is safe.

    Specific cuts of beef are supposed to be safe, so
    they're what I've been buying. Chicken gets boring
    after awhile ;)
