I'm a bad person now? I don't vote Democrat, and many times don't vote Republican either. If that makes me a bad person then heck buy me the t shirt I will wear it. You want more people you had better encourage more births and since wages are where they are more and more young couples are foregoing having kids it's time to quit worrying about it.

I haven't said that white men are being oppressed.

What I am saying is that I can understand the concern that many have over some cultural/sociological behaviors manifesting from the term "male privilege".

And I have no doubt that there is an element of payback in these behaviors, both from my own observations and many conversations within my own large, mixed race family, my large, mixed race in-law family and friends. So denials of the obvious are worthless to me.

I agree that people shouldn't be forced to join Unions....but those that don't join unions should not get the pay/benefit advantages of collective bargaining either provided by the union. When hired, they are free to sign a waiver with that understanding.

Big Labor would never go for that, bode.

If an employer negotiated a higher wage for one of his Scab employees than the unionized staff was getting, the union bosses would have a cow.

I know it's just one datapoint, but it makes an argument:

It took my Nephew one year to get a job in Computer Science Field. He applied to a multitude of places and is very sharp. Someone you would want to hire. He and his girlfriend graduated with Computer Science degrees from Cal-Poly. She submitted three applications, interviewed three times and was offered two jobs for her effort. It took her < 30 days from Graduating. My Nephew submitted more than 40 applications, interviewed 5 times and was offered one job. It took him a year to get a job. I asked him why it took so long in consideration of his degree and where it was from and he replied "I'm a white male" He is a liberal.

    Go figure.

You don't see any opression, but you think there may be an element of payback in this oppression no one is experiencing. Um, okay...

The nephew should have said he was an Indian, and he would have been hired in a flash like Pocahontas was at Harvard.

And when my union negotiates a pay raise, only the union members should get it.

That's not what I said. That's your third straw man. I can see this won't be an honest conversation.

I'm not trying to convince you of anything. You asked, I answered.

Phasing out unions is the beginning of rougher times for workers....and I've never belonged to a union. I do believe there is a hatred for laborers.. a war on them. Considering that american workers of today have a work until I drop mentality I don't know why. Hardest workers in the world Barr none.
