Democrats Version of Tax Cuts

If you don't understand the Democrats' version of tax cuts (and you are not alone), this will explain it for you:

50,000 people go to a baseball game, but the game was rained out. A refund was then due. The team was about to mail refunds when the Congressional Democrats stopped them and suggested that they send out refund amounts based on the Democrat National Committee's interpretation of fairness.

After all, if the refunds were made based on the price each person paid for the tickets, most of the money would go to the wealthiest ticket holders. That would be unconscionable. The DNC plan says:

People in the $10 seats will get back $15, because they have less money to spend. Call it an "Earned" Income Ticket Credit". Persons "earn" it by demonstrating little ambition, few skills and poor work habits, thus keeping them at entry-level wages.

People in the $25 seats will get back $25, because that's only fair.

People in the $50 seats will get back $1, because they already make a lot of money and don't need a refund. If they can afford a $50 ticket, then they must not be paying enough taxes.

People in the $75 luxury seats will have to pay another $50, because they have way too much to spend.

The people driving by the stadium who couldn't afford to watch the game will get $10 each, even though they didn't pay anything in, because they need the most help.

Now do you understand? If not, contact Representative Richard Gephart or Senator Tom Daschle for assistance.

But if you want to be a GOOD Democrat, there are some prerequisites you
must have first. Compare the below and see how you rate.

1. You have to believe the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding.

2. You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach 4th graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.

3. You have to believe that guns, in the hands of law-abiding Americans, are more of a threat than U.S.nuclear weapons technology in the hands of Chinese communists.

4. You have to believe that there was no art before Federal funding.

5. You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by cyclical, documented changes in the earth's climate, and more affected by yuppies driving SUVs.

6. You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being homosexual is natural.

7. You have to be against capital punishment but support abortion on demand.

8. You have to believe that businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity.

9. You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but loony activists from Seattle do.

10. You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.

11. You have to believe the military, not corrupt politicians start wars.

12. You have to believe the NRA is bad, because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good, because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.

13. You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.

14. You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, General Robert E. Lee or Thomas Edison.

15. You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides aren't.

16. You have to believe Hillary Clinton is really a lady.

17. You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried, is because the right people haven't been in charge.

18. You have to believe conservatives telling the truth belong in jail, but a liar and sex offender belongs in the White House.

19. You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying drag, transvestites and bestiality should be constitutionally protected and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.

20. You have to believe that illegal Democratic party funding by the Chinese is somehow in the best interest of the United States.

The Administration assertion that tax cuts will increase revenue is, essentially, BS. Tax receipts remain below those of the year 2000 in terms of real dollars.

Tax Policy Center

That the administration cotinues to push for fiscally irresponsible tax-cuts in the face of burgeoning federal debt (much of which is being held by hations that don't neccessarily have US interests at heart) and a growing quagmire in Iraq show just how disconnected the Administration is from reality.

Things you have to believe to be a Republican today

Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you’re a conservative radio host. Then it’s an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.

The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

Government should relax regulation of Big Business and Big Money but crack down on individuals who use marijuana to relieve the pain of illness.

“Standing Tall for America” means firing your workers and moving their jobs to India.

A woman can’t be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans’ benefits and combat pay.

Group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless you someday run for governor of California as a Republican.

If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won’t have sex.

A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of the public at heart.

Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.

Global warming and tobacco’s link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush’s daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a “we can’t find Bin Laden” diversion.

A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.

Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.

The public has a right to know about Hillary’s cattle trades, but George Bush’s driving record is none of our business.

You support states’ rights, which means the Attorney General can tell states what local voter initiatives they have a right to adopt.

What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the ’80s is irrelevant.

Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

Oh, sure.. It sounds like humor...but then what do you do when something like this has such a ring of truth to it? :D

Don't know about Republicans but i know conservatives who would disagree with you, jillian.

Things you have to believe to be a Republican today

Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you’re a conservative radio host. Then it’s an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.

I don't think addicts are the problem. The whole War on Drugs is the problem. Add to it though that Rush himself never bashed addicts and your argument is moot.

The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

The US should get out of the UN for precisely this reason and others. Whats the point of supporting an organization that won't enforce its own resolutions?

Government should relax regulation of Big Business and Big Money but crack down on individuals who use marijuana to relieve the pain of illness.

Not related in the slightest. All regulating of big business does is make government richer and cost the taxpayers more at the check out line. Marijuana should be legalized and i think youll find many conservatives who agree because they want LESS government in their lives telling them what to do.

“Standing Tall for America” means firing your workers and moving their jobs to India.

If they cut the ridiculous taxes and regulations on businesses, many jobs won't have to goto India.

A woman can’t be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

Example? Abortion is morally wrong but will always occur. Leave it to the states to decide if they want it or not. Don't use a decision by 9 people in robes to dictate policy for the whole country.

Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

Of course he does. ;) Gays should have stayed in the closet. People tolerated them then. Now they are demanding religious changes from the government.

The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans’ benefits and combat pay.

Evidence? Veteran's benefits have always been disgusting low but i doubt any correlation to a specific party can be made.

Group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless you someday run for governor of California as a Republican.

People should be able to do what they want with their own lives without government telling them what to do. The people of California elected Arnold and California is a majority of liberals. I guess they felt nothing wrong with his lifestyle.

If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won’t have sex.

I don't remeber that argument. I remember people being upset at the fact that sexuality in general is taught in schools. Health class is one thing but a class on how to have sex and the types of sexual positions to use are completely inappropriate in a school setting.

A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

Who did we belittle? As i recall our "Long time Allies" we're getting kickbacks from the enemy. So when push came to shove, they sided with their wallets and not their "long time allies."

HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of the public at heart.

What republican preaches this? Everyone i know thinks the medical system in this country is a joke thanks to ridiculous malpractice laws and sky rocketing taxes.

Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.

Where is it said that we provide health care to any Iraqis let alone all of them? And government health care is socialism.

Global warming and tobacco’s link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

Global warming is junk science. There is no solid evidence to prove that humans have any effect on climate change yet its pushed out there like we are the SOLE cause of climate change. Tobacco is a lobbying problem that youll find politicians from both parties sipping the kool-aid. Creationism is a theory just like evolution. Theories have every right to be taught to kids if they are explained as theories and not facts.

Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush’s daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a “we can’t find Bin Laden” diversion.

Saddam was our ally in the early 80's thanks to Jimmy Carters incompetence with Iran. It didnt make him a good guy. It made him similar to Stalin in WW2. We fought the same enemy. When Saddam started grouping up with Bin Laden and other terror groups, he became a threat and needed to be removed.

A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.

A president putting himself in a position where he can be blackmailed by an extramarital affair by foreign leaders is an impeachable offense. Where did Bush lie? Still havent heard that one yet.

Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.

Or removing guns from citizens? Or granting abortion on demand?

The public has a right to know about Hillary’s cattle trades, but George Bush’s driving record is none of our business.

George Bush's driving record is public record and you know all there is to know. He had a DUI in his 20's and a couple of speeding tickets. Hillary is still hiding all the illegal things she did to get Bill elected governor and president and now getting herself elected.

You support states’ rights, which means the Attorney General can tell states what local voter initiatives they have a right to adopt.

What are you talking about here?

What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the ’80s is irrelevant.

Again whats your angle?

Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

Castro is an enemy of the US. As soon as he dies, im sure trade will resume with Cuba. Even though China and Vietnam don't have fond feelings towards us, they are willing to put them aside to make money. Castro will not. He wants to keep Cuba under wraps and trap the people there.

A crappy list of warped positions and slanted ideas devised to portray the opposing party in a bad light!?!?! How exciting! How original! How true! How pointful! Wow, did your really think of those all by yourself?
Obviously we've been on the wrong path, but now that we have these sagely lists to light the way, the nation will surely follow the right path.

Jillian. Rush is a radio host, not a legislator, the relative importance of their positions matters.

Kennedy gets no credit for coming forward, BECAUSE HE GOT BUSTED FIRST.
