How did she win the governors race against a seasoned incumbent republican governor named Frank Murkowski (Lisa Murkowski's father) and a democrat named Tony Knowles in the general election? She debated them 3 times.
Rubbish. If you're smart you should know that CNN has always been in the tank for Obama. They even fired Lou Dobbs for questioning Obama.CNN actually did a poll asking specific regions of the country, if it was Obama v. Palin for the presidency, how they would vote. It was actually shocking. Obama was ahead in every area of the country, including the South which is a Republican strong hold. he handily won the west, midwest and north east, while it was closer in the south and parts of the rust belt. Even most Republicans dont want her to run because she will basically give the White House back to Obama with little effort.
The problem with Palin is that she is extremely popular amongst the Tea Party Movement and Conservative Republicans, but she scares the hell out of independents, moderates and liberals. Independents will determine the next presidency, just as they did the last, and if Palin runs, the majority of them will swing towards Obama out of fear of Palin, her lack of experience and her extremely conservative view. Huckabee and Romney would be much better choices in a general election. But you also forget this is 2 years away, and look how fast the general public turned on democrat, they can just as easily turn back against republicans in the same amount of time. Especially if they do not come up with a viable solution on how to cut spending and decrease the deficit.
