Democrats & Obama, Where are the Jobs???

Here we go you pile of shit RW.

"There were 388,000 initial jobless claims filed in the week ended March 26, the Labor Department said Thursday. That was down 6,000 from the previous week's revised 394,000."

"Nevertheless, when the number of new jobless claims for the MONTH of March is compared against new hires for the same month, it becomes obvious that the US economy lost 1,376,000 jobs in March alone….against 230,000 new jobs."

Jobless claims decrease slightly - Mar. 31, 2011

YAY! 200k jobs made in march, only 1,370,000 more needed to stop losing jobs faster than they are "created or saved."

Hmm, should I look into how many people fell off UE for the month of march…

Yeah fuckin Obama Yeah!

Adding 200 ,000 a month vs losing 600,000 a month under the republicans

Excuse Me! Democrats controlled Congress House & Senate for the last 4-1/2 years. It is during that time the US posted those huge 600,000 a month job loses.

Republicans have controlled the House for the last 5 months. It was during this time that the US started adding 200,000 jobs a month.

Still trying to float that one?

Which piece of legislation caused that job loss?

Do you believe just because one thing occurs before another that constitutes a cause and effect relationship? It does NOT. Your post is a prime example why it is not true.

The repubs LOST the house and senate in 2006 because they were doing such a bad job. They caused the housing bubble in 2001-2006, they failed to adequately regulate the mortgage companies and money center banks, resulting is the bust in the housing market, massive bank failures, and the 700 Billion dollar TARP passed by the dems in congress and signed by Bush in 2008. Greenspan, lifelong repub, presided over it all as fed chairman up to 2006, digging the whole with loose money supply and low interest rates, down at 1% in 2003 and 2004 although the recession had ended in 2001. Remember that "jobless recovery"?

You are going to have to provide a better link to show that we lost 1,370,000 jobs (15 mil a year) in March. A right wing blog is not credible,( especially one written on April Fools Day). Do you have BLS statistics backing this up?

Democrats & Obama, Where are the Jobs??? Inquiring minds want to know!

Bush & the Republicans were creating jobs until the Democrats took control of congress in 2006-2007 & destroyed jobs & the economy.

Democrats are forcing more companies to send more jobs out of the USA.

Big U.S. Firms Shift Hiring Abroad
U.S. multinational corporations, the big brand-name companies that employ a fifth of all American workers, have been hiring abroad while cutting back at home, sharpening the debate over globalization's effect on the U.S. economy.

The companies cut their work forces in the U.S. by 2.9 million during the 2000s while increasing employment overseas by 2.4 million, new data from the U.S. Commerce Department show. That's a big switch from the 1990s, when they added jobs everywhere: 4.4 million in the U.S. and 2.7 million abroad.

Since the GOP conservatives took the house, unemployment went down 1%.

Just imagine if the had taken Senate!

If conservatives take both Houses in 12, we should be able to survive and maybe thrive another 4 of big 0. If we get a trifecta... :eusa_drool:

Cheap labor is what's moving jobs ovreseas.

And we'll all be a lot better off when American workers wake up and start demanding wages more in line with their Chinese and Indian counterparts.

"Prosperity through lower wages!"

I agree. We should be revitalizing neighborhoods with affordable housing and manufacturing jobs with competitive wages. Make the neighborhoods affordable to the pay scales.

American union workers want to make $50.00 an hr,have their pension paid for by the company, health care as well, work 20 years and retire with full benefits for them and their family, unlimited paid sick time 6 weeks paid vacation....You Savvy?:doubt:

Oh, good Lord....Jobless claims, the 1,376,000 is GROSS and does NOT account for people getting jobs. The 230,000 is NET gain.

March Labor Turnover isn't out yet, so let's look at Feb....there were approx 1,557,000 new claims, however looking at Job Openings and Labor Turnover we see that there were 1,591,000 layoffs and 2,201,000 further separations (quits, retirements, deaths, transfers etc) BUT there were also 3,907,000 hires, for a net change of 115,000. For the entire month of Feb, 3,792,000 lost/left their job, and 3,907,000 people were hired.

No, that doesn't match up with the official employment numbers but that's because of different time frames...The official numbers are based on the pay period that contains the 12th, and JOLTS is the entire month.

You got a problem with workers making a decent buck?

If that were true then most of the jobs lost would have been the high paying ones. Average incomes are up even while there are five million fewer employees than before Obama's election. The lost jobs were the low paying ones that us 'fat-cats' had to let go to pay for Obama's tax hikes.

Cheap labor is worth what you pay for it and US workers are the worlds most productive (click here). Americans get paid more because they get more done and they're worth every penny they earn.

2001 to 2008, millions of jobs were moved to China. This amazing feat was accomplished with the Republicans working in concert with the US Chamber of Commerce and China.

See, Republicans can work with others. As long as they are communist and trying to bring down American manufacturing. When they put their mind to it, Republicans can be very successful.

GOP blocks Democrats’ jobs outsourcing bill – CNN

Washington (CNN) – Senate Republicans successfully blocked a bill from coming to the Senate floor Tuesday that Democrats claim would help keep American jobs from going overseas.

Rdean post a bogus story & a bogus link. :cuckoo:

 Democrats like rdean are reduced to nothing but bogus lies when trying to defend their failed policies.

What bogus link? It's CNN. Recognized by the majority of the world as a legitimate news source.

You saying the Republicans haven't been blocking every bill coming down the pike?

Serious?

That what you saying?

That CNN link will not open in my Explorer browser, so I finally got it opened in FireFox. Anyhow it is still a bullshit story. The democrats have been in power for 4-1/2 years. They had total power for 2 years. As can be seen in the employment chart all of the job losses started under their control & have taken place under their control. If Democrats wanted to pass jobs bills then why didn't they when they had total control? The only bump in their horrible job loss numbers came as a result of the temporary Census hiring. Once the Census was over the Democrats went back to loosing jobs. Their entire reign has been nothing but tyranny & job destruction.

From the CNN link. There is no mention of what bill they were politicizing.
The point, Democratic strategists candidly admit, was to use the last few days of the congressional session before the election to try to highlight one of the few jobs-related issues Democrats feel they may be able to use against Republicans: outsourcing.

"No question people are angry at Democrats because the economy is bad and we are in charge," Democratic pollster Mark Mellman said.

"People are even more angry about jobs going overseas than they are about the absence of jobs as they look around their communities. So we're trying to focus that anger."

Republicans say they disagree that these measures will keep jobs in America and are lashing out at Democrats for holding last minute political votes.

"Now, in the last three days of the session they decided they can pretend to be concerned. This is nothing short of patronizing," argued Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell.

"This is about as pure a political exercise as you can get. And in my view it is an insult to the millions of Americans who want us to focus on jobs."

Are Democrats concerned that pushing such transparently politically votes just before the election could backfire?

Now that the Republicans have 1/3rd control they have got the USA creating jobs here at home again. Republicans have stopped the business & jobs killing Democrats in their tracks. As you can clearly see in the chart jobs are on the rise only while the Republicans are in power.
