President Obama leads among ‘swing independents’ say what?

Desperate to prop up Obama's numbers amongst independent voters democrat strategists invent new sub group 'swing independents"

Not Independent voters mind you – but “swing” independent voters, an invented sub-group that apparently is even more independent than…independents. Care to ask why the title of “swing independents” was made the headline for the Politico piece out today? Simple – the actual data from the poll itself shows Barack Obama and the Democrats lagging far behind the Republicans on almost every important issue to independent voters in the upcoming 2012 Election.

By inventing a sub-group from among Independent voters, the Global Strategy Group was able to gin up an acceptable headline by which the mainstream media can then run with to try and convince Americans Barack Obama is actually gaining in popularity once again. Not so fast though…

Looking into the polling data reveals the following – of all Independent voters sampled, nearly 40% indicated they would “lean Republican” in the 2012 Election vs just 34% indicating they would lean Democrat. That alone is a significant OUCH for both Democrats and Barack Obama.

When asked what the top priority for these Independents was, the overwhelming answer was the national debt – among the worst issues for Barack Obama. No president has increased the size of the national debt in a shorter amount of time than has President Obama. Add to this the fact that the poll indicated Republicans win out over Democrats when asked which political party has the right plan to restore America’s prosperity. In fact, Republicans currently enjoy a significant 7-point lead over Democrats and Barack Obama regarding this all-important issue.

I believe that Romney is going to beat the pants off president Obama- It can't happen too soon~

If support for Romney is the same nationwide as it is in this forum I'd say Obama has little to worry about.
