Democrats Instigating Destruction

Bullshit...EVER single protest was preceded by and precipitated by POLICE abuse of power.

You right wing scum LOVE to kiss the ass of authority...give a thug a BADGE and he can do no wrong.

It has been stated that this has gone on for years. That is the claim of the left. So, why wasn't something done before now? Baltimore has been under Dem control for decades and they have no one to blame but themselves.

How was the media and people like Al Sharpton going national to make accusations against police (before they have facts) going to help anything? The situation was exploited and fuel thrown on the fire every day.

In the other cases, such as Ferguson, it was determined that there was no wrong doing on the part of the police, yet the riots went on forever, and so did the hateful rhetoric. The media covered it constantly and the liberals in media bashed cops and blamed racism. Never mind that the cops were dealing with criminals who were not cooperating. I guess cops are supposed to leave all criminals alone. People like Moore who suggest disarming cops and releasing drug offenders are part of an effort to not only vilify cops but to argue that the population should be disarmed.

There are a lot of dead cops now who were shot in cold blood because some people think an all-out war has been started against cops.

I haven't heard any solutions. The liberals seem to think that if they can send some cops to prison that will end the problem. Mosby said something to that effect. Sounds more like temporary appeasement to end the violence on the streets. Blaming the cops and punishing them will turn all the thugs into law-abiding citizens. Seriously, the people in leadership positions are only making things worse. I think they know better but are playing games and using the situation to their advantage. They want to look like the heroes when they are the ones did nothing for years and now place the blame on all cops. It's no wonder it's open season on police officers around the country.

No it was not determined in Ferguson that there was no wrongdoing. The federal investigation turned up massive racist misconduct.

The NYLiar almost speaks the truth:
"...massive racist misconduct."

We simply disagree as to the side that should be awarded that conclusion.

Mayors, and city council members come and go, sometimes in two years. But institutions like police departments are deeply embedded with career people who spend twenty years watching mayors and city council members come and go with no concern or any loyalty.

There has developed a "culture" in police departments that has been NOT been fueled by liberals. It has been fueled by conservatives and their total lack of understanding justice.

Broken windows policing is not a liberal creation.

So sorry you lost your position at Subway.....

"Sierra “C-Babi” McCurdy, of Laurel, Miss., ultimately lost her job because she praised the cold-blooded murders of Hattiesburg cops Benjamin Deen, 34, and Liquori Tate, 25, after they were gunned down in the line of duty during a routine traffic stop Saturday night.

“2 police officers was shot in hattiesburg tonight…GOT EM,” the Subway employee exulted on Facebook. “We can turn this bxtch into Baltimore real quick….Police take away innocent people lives everyday now & get away w/ it, fxck them…no mercy.”
Food worker fired after praising death of two cops New York Post

Did this tweet hurt you feelings?
“Wow. This piece of trash was celebrating the death of two policeman in Hattiesburg. Your [employee], @Subway,” one person tweeted.

Yes, council members and mayors come and go. I usually see changes when a new mayor comes in. In Baltimore, one Dem after another came in and there were no changes. You are aware that they are in charge of the police, right? And they can shake things up if they see the need. Yet, all those Dems came and went and not a one addressed the problem, if one existed all this time. Republicans have not been influencing anything that goes on in Baltimore, so Dems need to take responsibility for their policies for once and own up to the mess.

“Ronald Reagan changed the trajectory of America in a way that Richard Nixon did not and in a way that Bill Clinton did not. Reagan was an ideological inflection point, ending a 50-year liberal ascendancy and beginning a 30-year conservative ascendancy."
Charles Krauthammer

It is amazing how conservatives are either dishonest or obtuse. I am not wet behind the ears. I have been around since Harry S. was in the White House. I have personally witnessed the end of the great liberal era, followed by the birth and fruition of the horrible conservative era that began with Nixon and metastasized under Reagan.

Conservatives have NEVER given us less government. They gave us 'different' government. A government that believes in punishment over a helping hand. A government that loathes the poor and working man, especially if he belongs to a union.

I don't have the time or the desire to try to educate a brainwashed parrot.

"We have all made mistakes. But Dante tells us that divine justice weighs the sins of the cold-blooded and the sins of the warm-hearted on different scales. Better the occasional faults of a party living in the spirit of charity than the consistent omissions of a party frozen in the ice of its own indifference."
President John F. Kennedy

Baltimore has an ugly history of police brutality: Jarvis DeBerry

...In September 2014 The Baltimore Sun published a series called "Undue Force" about the brutality of the police in Baltimore and the millions of dollars those unjustified actions have cost the city: $5.7 million since 2011.

Here's an excerpt:

Over the past four years, more than 100 people have won court judgments or settlements related to allegations of brutality and civil rights violations. Victims include a 15-year-old boy riding a dirt bike, a 26-year-old pregnant accountant who had witnessed a beating, a 50-year-old woman selling church raffle tickets, a 65-year-old church deacon rolling a cigarette and an 87-year-old grandmother aiding her wounded grandson.

Those cases detail a frightful human toll. Officers have battered dozens of residents who suffered broken bones — jaws, noses, arms, legs, ankles — head trauma, organ failure, and even death, coming during questionable arrests. Some residents were beaten while handcuffed; others were thrown to the pavement.

And in almost every case, prosecutors or judges dismissed the charges against the victims — if charges were filed at all. In an incident that drew headlines recently, charges against a South Baltimore man were dropped after a video showed an officer repeatedly punching him — a beating that led the police commissioner to say he was "shocked."

Such beatings, in which the victims are most often African-Americans, carry a hefty cost. They can poison relationships between police and the community, limiting cooperation in the fight against crime, the mayor and police officials say.

..., let’s take a look at secularism’s rich history of mass murder, and we need not go back a thousand years to make the point. Here are the 800 pound gorilla death totals from some notable secular leaders from the recent past (from the book Death by Government by R.J. Rummel):

clip_image001.jpg

Stalin....42,672,000

Mao.....37,828,000

Hitler....20,946,000

Lenin....4,017,000

Pol Pot...2,397,000

Chiang Kaishek...10,214,000

Tojo.....3,990,000

Total......122,064,000

Here we have the most murderous tyrants in history, all secularists. Just seven of them managed to kill 122 million people, most of them their own fellow citizens. (And new research suggests that these numbers are conservative....

Every one of 'em comes from the same poison tree...including Liberals.

You wrote: "They're not all Liberals"

Here is a little quiz that will show just how wrong you are:

Let's begin with definitions.
Nazism, communism, socialism..Liberalism, Progressivism,.and fascism....

1. Which stem from the works of Karl Marx?
2. Which is a form of command and control big government?
3. Which has no problem with genocide, actual or figurative, as an accepted procedure on its political enemies?
4. Which is based on the collective over the individual?
5. Which oppresses and/or slaughters its own citizens as pro forma (including depriving them of a living)....?
6. Which represents totalitarian governance?
7. Which believes that mandating/dictating every aspect of their citizen's lives is their prerogative?
8. Which aims for an all-encompassing state that centralizes power to perfect human nature by controlling every aspect of life

And, of course, they all are do.

Nazism

Communism

Socialism

Fascism

Progressivism

Liberalism

How about pointing out which of them are defenders of religious, political, and economic freedom, and recognize the individual as the most important element of society?
Right....none of 'em.
Only right wing philosophies...i.e., conservatism.

What Mao Zedong said about liberalism

"Liberalism is extremely harmful in a revolutionary collective. It is a corrosive which eats away unity, undermines cohesion, causes apathy and creates dissension.

It robs the revolutionary ranks of compact organization and strict discipline, prevents policies from being carried through and alienates the Party organizations from the masses which the Party leads."

How about pointing out which of them are defenders of religious, political, and economic freedom, and recognize the individual as the most important element of society?
Right....none of 'em.
Only right wing philosophies...i.e., conservatism.

I did not say those words...Hitler and Mao DID...

"Conservatism, though a necessary element in any stable society, is not a social program; in its paternalistic, nationalistic and power adoring tendencies it is often closer to socialism than true liberalism; and with its traditionalistic, anti-intellectual, and often mystical propensities it will never, except in short periods of disillusionment, appeal to the young and all those others who believe that some changes are desirable if this world is to become a better place."
Friedrich August von Hayek-The Road to Serfdom

"In general, it can probably be said that the conservative does not object to coercion or arbitrary power so long as it is used for what he regards as the right purposes. He believes that if government is in the hands of decent men, it ought not to be too much restricted by rigid rules. Since he is essentially opportunist and lacks principles..."

Well Baltimore IS a Leftist run burg... and there's nothing less tolerant than the Ideological Left.

Remember Gilligan, you idiots are the only people to ever MURDER 150 Million innocent people in Peacetime, in 30 years, in the history of humanity.

150 million? Please explain??

..., let’s take a look at secularism’s rich history of mass murder, and we need not go back a thousand years to make the point. Here are the 800 pound gorilla death totals from some notable secular leaders from the recent past (from the book Death by Government by R.J. Rummel):

clip_image001.jpg

Stalin....42,672,000

Mao.....37,828,000

Hitler....20,946,000

Lenin....4,017,000

Pol Pot...2,397,000

Chiang Kaishek...10,214,000

Tojo.....3,990,000

Total......122,064,000

Here we have the most murderous tyrants in history, all secularists. Just seven of them managed to kill 122 million people, most of them their own fellow citizens. (And new research suggests that these numbers are conservative....

1.Hitler and Mao....your doctrinal cousins.

2. It is from whom you take your instruction.
As you posited re: 'authoritarians'....

a. Into the backwash of the Enlightenment came the seismic shocks of two world wars. The First World War dealt a body blow to religious belief, trust in authority, and faith in human progress. And the Second World War, and fascism, Nazism, the Holocaust, shot holes in the optimism about man’s goodness, and the power of reason. Eugenics, a prime ideology prior, received a rude jolt, and sudden curtailment. Thus the open door to Marxism fueled by nihilism.

b. Herbert Marcuse explained that freedom was actually tyranny in the form of ‘repressive tolerance, and ‘liberating’ tolerance apparently meant tolerating only left wing thinking.

c. The wave of vilification of bourgeois culture received impetus from “The Authoritarian Personality,” by Adorno, et. al. which identified antidemocratic indicia such as obedience and respect for authority. Conservatism, of course, was another name for fascism, and represented personal pathology. In another work, they blame the Enlightenment itself and reason for the rise of fascism, but fail to see the repudiation of religion as a major factor.
Breitbart, "Righteous Indignation," chapter 13

Command and control? Oppression?? Totalitarian governance??? Centralizes power to perfect human nature by controlling every aspect of life???

o A recent report from the Guttmacher Institute details the extent of 2011’s war on Women’s Reproductive Rights. The report states,

  • By almost any measure, issues related to reproductive health and rights at the state level received unprecedented attention in 2011. In the 50 states combined, legislators introduced more than 1,100 reproductive health and rights-related provisions, a sharp increase from the 950 introduced in 2010. By year’s end, 135 of these provisions had been enacted in 36 states, an increase from the 89 enacted in 2010 and the 77 enacted in 2009. (Note: This analysis refers to reproductive health and rights-related “provisions,” rather than bills or laws, since bills introduced and eventually enacted in the states contain multiple relevant provisions.)
  • Fully 68% of these new provisions—92 in 24 states—-restrict access to abortion services, a striking increase from last year, when 26% of new provisions restricted abortion. The 92 new abortion restrictions enacted in 2011 shattered the previous record of 34 adopted in 2005.
  • Abortion restrictions took many forms: bans (6 states), waiting periods (3 states), ultrasound 5 states), insurance coverage (3 states joined the existing 5 with such restrictions), clinic regulations (4 states), medication abortion (7 states).
o Anti-abortion Laws

Republican legislators have introduced a wide array of laws designed to either outlaw abortion outright or to discourage it by making ridiculous and sometimes humiliating requirements of women who might consider having a pregnancy terminated. These include so-called TRAP (Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers) regulations.
