Durbin & Co do seem to be using the Gang of 8 playbook--luxuriate in MSM favoritism, pretend they represent unstoppable consensus--that didn't work even before it helped get Trump elected (after sinking Rubio's presidential candidacy).

Ambush or not, the fact is Miller's arguments hold no more water than do any of them that are not guided by the totality of the most credible research on the matter and impacts of immigration, both legal and illegal. Quite some time back, I shared links to the content from the two main organizations that, respectively, argue and advance the sentiments of the anti-immigration and the pro-immigration crowds.

Nothing about immigration and its impacts has between then and now changed, and that appears to include the knowledge base available to and consumed by members of the two crowds.
