Democrats are politicizing the floods in Iowa, Nebraska, & the Dakotas...Trump doing tremendous job!

Once again deep red anti big gov nanny state areas are lined up to receive fema welfare . Last week it was Alabama tornados , this week it’s Nebraska flooding .

“Big government save meeeee!”

FEMA, Vice President coming to Nebraska

As people are able to return to their homes, the reality of the devastation becomes clear. Overnight, more cities made emergency declarations bringing the total to 75. There are now 65 counties under emergency declarations, as well. That’s nearly 70 percent of the state’s 93 counties.

And you still haven't bothered to learn the actual definition of the word you love to use so much

It's funny and sad

Are we not allowed to point out the constant hypocrisy of the right?

Why don’t you save your comments for the never ending parade of socialism threats started by cons.

There is only one definition and that's the one in the dictionary

Like I said funny and sad

No really, these are completely predictable events. Floods in the Midwest aren't disasters. Flood emergencies since at least '93 are ridiculous. We know where it floods, why fool with it? Do we need to live close enough to the confluence of the continent's two largest rivers to carry buckets of water home on our heads?

No.

I'll even throw a bone to folks who live on a property that gets flooded the first time. Here's your bailout. Hell, if its too much to buy out at once, we can buy out the worst 20% each time.

but man, this welfare for the bottom dwellers (hah, play on words), has to stop. Communism, socialism, welfare, stupid, whatever. Here comes the river in a perfectly predictable event idiots have turned into a series of mishaps.

Timmy is right, this is a predictable weather event. Call it socialism or welfare or whatever. I'll even buy out the ppl its happening to the 1st time, or hell, 1/2 or 1/4 of them if the purse strings don't allow it.

Timmy is right, this is short sighted socialism, redistributing my money to ppl who may as well be standing in the middle of the street repeatedly getting hit by cars.

It isnt socialism but it is unconstitutional

Flood relief is unconstitutional? In this era of appeasing the king's emergency declarations I dunno.

It sounds like we're both against the repeated flood bailouts so we're splitting the hairs of diction though.

The fed gov cant hand out tax money to regional and local disasters. There is nothing in the constitution that gives them that power.
Back in the 1800s, savannah georgia had a horrible fire that wiped out most of the city. The fed gov told them no. they didnt have that power. Of course, they do just about whatever they want now. All they have to do is get their political activists appointed by congresss.

That's interesting. I'll do some reading on the Savannah fire and use it as a point in the future.

FWIW, I don't even mind helping my neighbor the first time he's trapped by a mud slide or something. The second time its pretty silly. If it requires a Constitutional Amendment to be able to give disaster money once to each property for something I'm for it. These repeat victims.....

where was your defense of the dictionary when your fellow right wingers were accusing a private company of socialism?

I regularly see right wingers flip between "Safety nets are socialism." and "Scandinavia isn't socialist!" depending on what's convenient in their effort to shoot down conversations about helping people. It's incredibly dishonest.
