Democrats are increasingly calling it a ‘Republican Congress’

President Obama and Democrats on Capitol Hill are increasingly referring to the Congress as “Republican” even though their party controls one-half of the unpopular institution.

Obama and his allies have started to deploy the phrase “Republican Congress” in what some experts see as a clear attempt to gain a political advantage.

“I’m the first one to acknowledge that the relations between myself and the Republican Congress have not been good over the last several months, but it’s not for lack of effort,” Obama told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos earlier this month.

“It has to do with the fact that, you know, they’ve made a decision to follow what is a pretty extreme approach to governance,” he said.

And other Democrats have used the term.

“I’m sure the president would like it to be creating jobs more quickly. And if the members of the do-nothing Republican Congress would actually put a couple of oars in the water and help us, [we could] do these things like [Mississippi] Gov. [Haley] Barbour mentioned that make so much sense,” Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) said on CBS’s “Face the Nation” earlier this month.

The "half" the Democrats control is the final word SENATE!!! The House can't do anything! It's the SENATE that makes the final bill a law, not the House. The House just submits its bill to the Senate for final approval.

The Democrats have 100% control over whether the House's bill is approved by the Senate.

To the best of my knowledge, the Democrats are liars, because they know good and well they have the yes this goes through or no this does not go through.

The Democrats can caterwaul their way from Bangor, Maine, to San Diego, California, but they FAILED to say THEY HAVE THE VERY FINAL SAY in the power of passing that bill or not.

And that darn House of Representatives is not taking Reid's angry rants very seriously, fortunately for America.

The Republicans are the only ones standing between America becoming Obama's desired Communistic Socialist Republic and remaining the model America's founders set in motion.

When he's gone, we need to fix some things. We need a plurality of Republicans in both houses to fix the legislation from the Oval Office that is going on through presidential orders.

We need to restore banks, the auto industry, and Obama's other pet rock industries back to the private sector.

We need to see that Americans get good health care, but not at the expense of making a communist dictatorship or nannyship out of America.

<you must spread some reputation around before giving it to Trajan again>

Well, I tried. :)

Good issue, Mr. Trajan, except tricking people is Chuckie Schumer's common modus operandi. I'm sorry but people fall for his little half-truths presented as gospel.

Why no!! It is as you quoted:

President Obama and Democrats on Capitol Hill are increasingly referring to the Congress as “Republican” even though their party controls one-half of the unpopular institution.

This is in the humor section, and I'm laughing at the Democrats pretending that they have no power and attempting to bounce the media into portraying that the big bad Republicans are taking their power away.
