Democrats Are Hiding From Democracy

Sets a great precedent for the future doesn't it? Although I guess it's been done before. Thats not how a democratic republic works. Its disgraceful.

So when Republicans filibuster because they lost big time in 2008, thats okay?

This is all within the rules. They need a quorum to end debate and vote. They weren't given anything so they left. Yet they suppose to just take it. But when the shoe is on the other foot, its Unamerican to push something through because Republicans don't have a majority, right?

So, you're on record as saying it's a okay for the Republicans to take numerous vacations when they don't want to vote???? Hypocrite.

Sure, if it within the tactics that the minority party can do. You would be totally for it if it was something you believe in as well. Don't act like you wouldn't. Filibusters, not able to meet quorum is tactics the minority party can use to block legislation. Thats politics. They want it past, take out the collective bargining rights, keep the cuts in, win-win situation.

Nope, I would not. don't care which party you are in. get in there, debate the issue, vote straight up or down, in short do the damn job we are paying you to do or get your ass back to the house and watch Roseanne.

Abdicating their legislative responsibilities, Wisconsin Senate Democrats are huddling at the Clocktower Resort in Rockford, Illinois. Democrats were poised to lose the vote on an important bill to fix Wisconsin’s fiscal crisis, so they picked up their legislative ball and fled the state.

Milwaukee talk radio guy Mark Belling today called this "non-violent insurrection", and he's right. This is not playing by the rules, this is going outside the rules because you think the case is extreme enough. Wisconsin Democrats have really overplayed their hand here. Because governor Scott Walker is making reasonable cuts to the budget in a time of financial crisis, they're going totally apeshit. It's really not playing well to the citizens of Wisconsin.

They heard they could get free Justin Bieber tickets in a neighboring State and they couldn't resist.

Don't hate on Justin Bieber. Bieber fans are vicious, they will find you!

It's nice to see that both Republicans and Democrats can be united in hating a singer they probably know nothing about.
He wears lil' girl "skinny jeans" and needs a friggin' haircut. That's all the proof necessary needed to hate him.

Anybody want to take bets on what age he'll come out of the closet, ala Doogie Howser?

personally, I think what they doing should be a crime. They are denying all the people of wis A vote on this issue with a childish stunt. They are doing it, because they know if they allow Democracy to act out. The vote will not go their way. Protecting a tiny % of the work force (public Sector Union Employees) and ignoring the will of the elected representatives of the rest of the people.

Shame on them.

This was undoubtedly a bad move on their part. The backlash on the entire dem party is going to be huge.
