When has such significant legislation been passed via strict party lines and in clear opposition to the desires of the American public?

Astonishing both in its arrogance, and its potential criminality...

In most recent poll, less support

A Quinnipiac University poll released Dec. 22 found a wider margin of disapproval, with 53 percent of respondents opposed to healthcare overhaul and 36 percent in favor.

"While the Senate leadership reportedly has the votes to pass a health care overhaul plan this week, outside the Beltway there appears to be weak support, both to what voters understand as the plan, and the need to pass that plan now," said Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Insitute.

If even more Americans dissaprove, then even less reason for passage.

    Simple enough.

Not surprising. Most common sense thinking Americans understand that this massive Socialist Boondoggle the Democrats are forcing on the nation will actually only increase the cost of Health Care in the end. They're just passing something to say they did something. It's very sad.

I think it is beyond that.

This is the proverbial "foot in the door". The left has hoped for greatly expanding the welfare state as that ensures an increase in Democrat voters. How long have they utilized "The Republicans want to take your social security?" during elections?

They hope to now be able to add health care to the long list of entitlement programs that people then assume is a right to be protected at all cost.

A dangerous game to be sure...

Health Care Reform - Rasmussen Reports™

Just wait until those 'under 30 in favor of the plan' start getting whacked in a few weeks, are forced to purchase health insurance, have to pay a fine if they refuse, and won't even see the benefits for another four years. They'll jump like rats on a sinking ship.

Most people are not in favor of this behemoth but uncle is going to shove it down our throats anyway. What the majority wants they don't get but what the minority wants they do get. Fuck you, Obama and congress.

HealthScare reform is just making a bad situation worse... Unfortunately, the reality will need to smack a few Barry Worshipers in the face until they get it - and there will always be those unable to grasp it...

Yes. Once those in the younger age brackets get a look at what they will be paying for the healthcare they will be forced to buy they will be screaming like stuck pigs. One graph I saw said they will be paying more than anyone.

Being in the majority doesnt seem to carry much weight anymore. Look at the Dems. They have the majority in both the House and Senate and Reid still has to resort to bribery to get his 60 votes.

This clusterfuck isn't passed yet and with any luck some of these Clowns will come to their senses and not vote for it. God. Hope does spring eternal.
